So I often play solo queue and 5 stack in quick match. Many people dislike the matchmaking completely but my only real gripe is the 5 stacks vs anything less than a 4+1. I don’t mind the challenge of facing one (bar the games you get a full sweat comp with 80% + wr only playing the current meta). But it really feels unfair vsing a bunch of singles. They rarely get a chance vs coordinated play. I don’t enjoy completely free wins and I feel this is really the only truly unfair part of match making. I for one would not mind a longer queue as a 5 stack for 5 on 5 games. And I’m sure the huge group of solo queue’s would love not to be sweat comped into oblivion.
I’m pretty sure oceanic servers are very low pop and it still wont match multiple 5 stacks to each other rather than to singles sometimes. I know this because I have various people on friends lists in 5 stacks searching at the same time and still get matched to solo queues.

I know I repeat myself, but again: As long as the population is low it is recommended that 5 stacks plays with anything else, otherwise the queue time would be unbearable. Just accept it.
“Various people” isn’t really a great sample size though.

Well sometimes up to 3 other 5 stacks searching, and we get matched to none. Not sure if after we get in game they play each other just seems like the groups are there but the mmr/comp rules are too strict to match them.
5 stacks only become problematic the more skilled the team is, a 5 of gold players aren’t going to do great into 2 Masters and randoms as an example, I’ve faced that before twice in the row.
You get 3k+ MMR players in one party and because the 3k+ party is a low population you queue into randoms who are pretty inexperienced if not NEW to the game.
I wish 5 stacks would at least wait a little bit more and refrain from matching Duo which is one of the most common matchups.
Reminder: It has been proven that 5 stacks vs 5 solos are heavily refrained in the match-up entirely (it’s almost 99% none-existent).

I think if people actually used the group chat built into the game more often single players would stand more of a chance, however when your playing solo your doing it cuz you hate talking to people (atleast thats why I do it) I think they tools are there to coordinate in real time as a single player but most people just dont do it.

People dont do it casue of trigger happy trolls that report like the snowflakes they are. Or 4 stacks that root up againts the solo player and mass report him like the bullies they are.

not saying that there aren’t good reasons to not use vc, but if people did use vc more often i think it would make the winrate gaps a lot less obvious
I play in groups and solo. And when I’m grouped, we are nowhere near winning every game.
I think people are just salty about a loss. And if they’re going to blame something, they blame groups.

For so many issues raised on the forums the answer often boils down to “can’t happen due to low player population and/or support and funding.”
It’s surprising how many people just can’t accept this fact. Even the people who come here and spam that Hots is a “ded game” still think Hots has a Dev team of hundreds with all the financial support of Blizzard behind it.
This kind of contradictory thinking becomes tiresome after the 10,000th post.

I think many simply don’t know. Especially knew players.
The people I speak of are self professed veteran players, I’d never complain about such a thing from a new player.
I’ve even had these kind of people deny that Hots is a “Classic” game with a small team, even when I’ve linked them multiple offical Blizzard posts confirming it.
Even when some of them will concede the point they will then say “If Blizzard wanted to they could still fund Hots, it’s your White Knighting that has destroyed the game!”

Plus smurfing in general and any sort of group >3 in Diamond and Masters.
Somebody in the forum made an statistic which basically underpins your statement. Blizzard doesn’t care since the change seems to be too massive for a game in maintenance mode. Coordinated route to dead.
The main problem with the current state is that it makes players quit which makes the problem even worse since the MM boundaries get even lower for a decimated queue.

It is also annoying how many people think that what they experience on small servers is reflective of the game as a whole. People who report constantly seeing the same group of 5 people in every match generally are on a lower population server, and/or are queuing at odd hours, and do not seem to understand that personal experience does not always represent the game as a whole.

I’ve seen that, but people like Darak know many of the problems are because he’s on the small Brazilian servers.
I wish I could experience what it’s like on the EU, but the latency is too much. On the US servers it’s still very rare (even at odd hours) for me ever to face the same players twice, let alone face the same 5 stack twice in a row. It might have happened five times since I’ve been playing since launch.
My comment you replied to was just more about the unrealistic expectations some people have for Hots, a game that’s in maintenance mode.
Body seems unclear, is it a complete sentence?
If the players are teamed, that’s the only way you will get a full healer team.
Otherwise, the game mirrors roles for the most part.

I repeat myself with players are not gonna return until changes are made. Why would a player come back to a game to experience the stuff that they quit over?
