How to use the power of the internet to improve on everything

So about the marketing of heroes, this is comming from a marketing associate.
Your marketing on social media is almost non existent. Heroes has 1.9milion followers on facebook, that is a huge number.
They send a few teases but it has no impact because its to generic. To basic.

So why dont they use the power of the internet
Twitter facebook reddit to make the game more popular?

How to start:
Do a meme monday and a fanart friday
They can even be lazy and let it upvotted by the fans and pic the one with the highest upvotes
How much work will this take, 2x10 min and you double the sales because … what is this? a active game? arent they dead?
And in a while it will be. "Omg you saw this Orphea mirror art  "

if they can make the heist event, they can make skins. They dont have to be high quality imo. Money is money
Or just resell old stuff like the crab mount
do some basic interactions on social media and promote stuff (they dont do this)
Show the game is alive and sales will be there, post monday fan art
its free its simple. But it has to be from them, from heroes itself. Not you or me. A staff member.
People want their meme or fanart been posted by the official heroes twitter/reddit/facebook
Even people who dont play often want this

New viewers will see a devoted fanbase and it strikes old peoples flame in the game. Maybe all it takes is one good murky meme to get someone intrested
Just ask me or freddy the intern and it doesnt even cost you money. It will only take 20 min a week , and you will even feel good about it

Disclaimer: I want this game to be great. Thats why im doing it. I love this game but it is not using its media right

Well, blizzard as a whole is being seen in a super negative light in the media at the moment. maybe it should try to steer away from that for a while.

Thats why they should do fan creations and not personal statements

Trust me they get plenty of fan creations. Just maybe not what you’re looking for.

I approve this idea just because I want everyone watch my memes and my Whitemane draws.

Gishki, the hero we need, but never deserved.

Basic advertising would go so far. Pretty sure most people don’t even know this game exists. Or they do, but know nothing about it.

I mean their social medias have been declining since HGC died, Twitter was 100 away from 500k.

Now they are 476k and declining.

It’s pretty late as of now.

Like I said, wait until 3.0 comes. But when 3.0 comes, and I can almost assure you it will come (In several years…) You probably won’t like heroes anymore. There will be a massive refocusing of the game. You won’t even recognize it.

It’ll be basically rebranded as an entirely new product, like them hitting the reset button. And why you ask will they do that? Why waste more money on it? Well why not? It’s a series just sitting here with all these assets and they are doing nothing with it. May as well use the assets they have to make a semi new game. Cheaper that way.

Well, cheaper than making a brand new game entirely anyways.

Wait people think a major game changing update like 3.0 is going to happen? lol

It won’t be 3.0 per se. It’ll be a restructuring of this game using its engine to make something new. It’ll probably go under a new name, and it’ll be a completely fresh start.

Yes they are declining. But it will catch up, or at least stabelize people love to show off their creations (me also)

That has been my experience. I’ve told hardcore gamer friends about this game and they have never heard of it. Worst of all, some only became aware of it when the HGC was cancelled.

I love Harbinger’s ideas for promotion, it’s positive and could be grass roots fan promotion with minimal Blizzard support or financial outlay. If they care about this game at all, they should consider some of his suggestions.

I like your attitude and that you want to help. Buuuuut~ Blizz will claim it was their idea all along, without giving credit to the person helping them out. For Free.

Even if this were to happen, others will even back up the person with evidence. Which Blizz won’t be able to negotiate out of. So they will just create some legal BS to take what is yours and claim that it was theirs and no one will be able to do anything about it because the law is on their side now.

JUST LIKE WC3:R!

I prefer to live in a world where the work I put into my art can be done with how I please, even if it is paying homage to something else.
The people making Fanart shouldn’t make it to make Blizz more popular. They should make it because that is their passion, as artists. Anyone can make fanart and be compensated for it. We all know Blizz won’t be the one to do it, even though it was to help them out…

Same about my works.

You wish you could draw cute anime girls the way I do.

They did all the mentioned above via retweets and more.

Its not helping.

They can have this for free. Honestly dont care :stuck_out_tongue:
Fanart and memes are free dony worry about this. Tons of other pages from diffirent compagnys actually do this as well

Because they did it wrong, nothing they did is building up or sparking anything. It is too basic what they are doing. There is no anticipation.
There are some bands/celebs who post fanart of their movies/series, and people are always looking if they are the ones who made it into it.

This keeps people looking at the page. Now in these days I have no reason to look for facebook or twitter for hots stuff because its just too basic. Only reason I will look at twitter is when the game is not loading to see if there is any problem

Majority of social medias are now circle jerk filled dead game, they did multiple times post HGC and it wasn’t doing anything than being bombarded with this type of nonsense.
