is there a cancel button to cancel Tracers auto attack?
I try to wait for him to use deflect but sometimes it auto attacks him and deflect just takes a huge chunk out of my health…

The default button is H.
You can change it in the settings though. I don’t remember the shortcut now but maybe someone does, otherwise I’ll just see it in game in a couple hours.
I have mine binded to S because it is closer to where my hand is. I know Samisha has it binded to spacebar.
Thanks! Yes it is H for Hold and S for Stop. For tracer, ‘stop’ or S doesn’t really do anything as it still targets the enemy and auto attacks after you press S, she stops for maybe 0.2 seconds.
I binded my H to S.
Tested and all is good.
Thanks!
You can do H for Hold Fire or just press D so she stops attacking to reload.
H is the best option, if that doesn’t work for you, you can also press Z (mount) to cancel any ongoing actions like auto attacks or spell casts (no need to actually mount up).
set it on Spacebar easier instead of H. that’s what i did when playing tracer best option spacebar
I think a lot of people think Stop does it but that’s not true, Stop is buggy and doesnt really work with auto attack moving heroes compared to anyone else, Hold fire (Hotkey: H) is overall better option in anytime.
Its not only useful for Genji but many other situations where you are forced to stop attacking in the sake of not accidentally reviving someone or feeding zarya.
I set Hold fire to Spacebar and moved “center camera on player” to Capslock.
As for reloading it doesn’t really help you after the reloading channel runs out as you will start attacking genji again afterwards.
Some time ago i saw a guy in some grandmaster game on youtube start dancing instead of pressing H to stop the auto attacking. It was hilarious but i think that was the reason they removed that possibility because like one week later you couldn’t do that any more.
