How to disable GeForce Performance Overlay

Since NVIDIA’s latest update, I can no longer self-cast ultimates with alt+r, because that same combination is used for GeForce’s Performance Overlay… And I don’t wanna change the hotkey for my ultimate >.>
So far I’ve failed to self-cast Divine Shield and Crystal Aegis, but there are more heroes who can potentially be affected by this xP

EDIT: Nevermind, after digging around Nvidia’s settings, I managed to find where to adjust the keyboard shortcuts.
If anyone else is experiencing the same problem, the solution is:

  • Open your GeForce Experience (right click on Nvidia icon to get access to it).
  • Go to settings (the cog icon)
  • Click on the “Settings” button, under the “IN-GAME OVERLAY” tab.
  • Select “Keyboard shortcuts”
  • Scroll down, till “Performance”, and change the shortcut key.

Or you can alternatively just disable the IN-GAME OVERLAY altogether, if you don’t think you’ll need it.

Is your alt+r mapped to a mouse button? Seems like an awkward way to cast an alt if it’s not.

I don’t understand what you mean by that…
Alt + Q/W/E/R/D is used for self-casting an ability. Like an Uther using alt + r will self-cast Divine Shield.
NVIDIA decided that it will be a great idea to map alt + r to be used for Performance Overlay, and I changed the shortcut to be alt + f instead (since in HotS ctrl + alt + f is used for something similar).

I don’t quite remember, but you might have to remove it from Start Up. Or go into the program itself and choose for it to not start up.

I keep GeForce turned off, that seemed to have improved performance a bit, for some reason.
