Teleport (Z) to him and then use the push back winds. If the player is smart they can use the knockback lock to escape. However there is usually no hope for such people and you might as well just let them die as they will keep doing it repeatedly and never flee anyway.
You can always Z to him if you dont mind potentially seeing yourself in hots wtf moments Emerald Wind exists and using Z + shift + EW lowers the possibility of interrupt (its casted bit faster).
I would rather look at Blink Heal as a way to get out of trouble while trying to save him with other toys.
(I would let him die rather than burning both charges and taking risk of getting killed :D)
Emerald Wind is an amazing potato-saving tool. I find it saves infinitely more lives than Blink Heal ever does with random teammates. With a premade you trust, Blink Heal may be more efficient.
Teleport to someone who overextended and shift queue Emerald Wind = they can survive even a 1v4 dive. Give them some speed with Pixie Dust as well, and there is no way they’re dying (unless it’s a troll who decides to go back).
Yeah, but this is not really the situation being described. The cooldown on Mosh is 2 minutes. I’m talking about perpetually hard-engaging tanks who seem to expect pocket healing from Brightwing.
its not going to work. i actually told a BW something the other day as we were approaching a loss. i mean we had 2 remaining keeps up but i mean we were facing down 2 golems and a curse coming at us. it was over.
anyway, i was telling the BW because they were having issues too
BW… this is why i dont pick both BW and Deckard a lot of times in solo queue. They can be very unreliable healers.
I will stand by that too its not going to change. If you play them in an organized group you will have better luck because you should be able to let your group know what you need them to do. However, in solo queue it rarely works out well imo.
Remember ETC gets armor from using abilities, and the armor does not stack with pixie dust. To maximize armor up-time, it’s best to use pixie dust sometime after his own armor expires. Plus, landing your Qs gives extra bursts of healing.
If you have blink heal, don’t blink to him. Rather, try to draw some of the fire of your opponents then use blink heal to escape. Brightwing has infinite sustain as long as the damage stays spread out. It’s a tiny bit risky to put yourself in harm’s way, but blink heal is so good for escaping I sometimes don’t see why anyone plays any other healer…
I actually hadn’t noticed the second part of the Q tooltip re: insta-procing Soothing Mist. The tooltip simply says “If a hero is hit…” which I am guessing means friend or enemy. Will test.
I find myself fascinated by the versatility of this psychotic little darling. I am genuinely interested to see how games unfold when I am playing BW.
Really? Why even continue playing if you think you can win without a tank the whole game.
To the OP: I don’t see what’s the problem here. I love playing with heavy dive heroes as BW. No other hero can dive in with them, give them decent healing/shielding, armor, and then polymorphing to antiburst one of them, then blink back out.
If the ETC is not disengaging when they need to, that might be a problem. If they’re continually doing that, especially when there’s no backup, you can just make a simple comment like, dude, I’m gonna try to save you however I can, but what exactly are you expecting to accomplish alone.
also I never noticed the part of Q that procs soothing mist healing either, lol. I’m 99% sure it’ll only work on enemy hero hits. it would be quite bizarre if it had an ally hitting component.
I’m not really sure what you’re talking about. Let’s just say that if E.T.C. wants to deep-dive with Mosh up that’s his affair. Other than that, I was just curious how a ranged-HoT healer manages to safely help a recklessly diving tank.
Aside from the few supports who can dive with him, or an Alex Cleansing Flame or Lifebinder it’s not an easy proposition. It’s harder for Brightwing outside of the Z teleport (which has to been off CD) and Emerald Wind, which still won’t save someone who’s determined to die.
I’m not defending Brightwing, she really has her limitations in the current meta, but if you get a team that expects huge burst heals and plays with reckless abandon, there isn’t much she can do. She’s not as bad as the “flying healing totem” people have nicknamed her, but she’s doesn’t have huge burst healing tools either.
Because I never give up. Still lost though because the tank ended up with 9+ deaths. Kind of expected given that they were a Muradin jumping into an enemy 5 ball 1v5 repeatedly with a 3 level disadvantage, that they kept fuelling. The team DPS was desperately trying to gain macro advantage as we would wipe 5v5 due to that level disadvantage. Not much old Lucio could do to stop that, especially when you give them speed boost and they use the speed to charge into the enemy team even faster…
