How do you'd rate the toxicity in this game?

In my case I don’t find the community of HotS toxic. If I play 8 games, only in 1 game I report someone. So I’d rate this community as not toxic since there are only few people who don’t behave properly.

Gold League - 12/10. Tested, when I played Tassadar there. People will throw games no matter what, because they got Tassadar on their team.

And not only Tassadar. Abathur, Nova, TLV, Medivh, etc.

Most of the time people are fine, every now and then I get a rager.

Honestly, I don’t see much toxicity.

Depends on what you are comparing to.
Other MOBAs? HotS is the land of rainbows and unicorns. And not the Diablo kind.

Other competitive genres? A bit better than average, though the low group size limits exposure.

Noncompetitive games? Fairly toxic, but not spectacularly so.

I ask where are those toxic people you all experience because I get none.

toxicity has gone down along with player population

Never had any issues, but I dont play Tass or Chen much, so…

In QM, people are not that toxic I’d say. Of course when someone decides they’d screw up the whole game they usually put all their efforts into it but it doesn’t happen that often.
In ranked though… Sometimes I feel like I should play more seriously and try to rank up (still silver cause I only completed placement matches for 1 season, oopsie) but 2 matches in and I already see that one guy that’ll get me totally disgusted with SL. Then my mates try to convince me to go back to playing ranked as I still have that sour taste in mouth. Sorry but, no.

Now that I think of it I wonder how it’d be like to play ranked with people from this forum.

I’ve seen legit explicit toxicity less than 10 times in this game during my gameplay career. Players silently hard throw games more than just rage to others which I think is worse

I play a lot of Tassadar and I don’t really experience any toxicity.
Players might say stuff like “Pls no Tassadar”, " i am a bit concerned about that Tassadar pick" or “are you sure about Tass?”
I think it’s okay when players share their opinion, that doesn’t mean i do what they want. There a bunch of heroes that i don’t really like to have on my team as well. Hanzo for example isn’t a bad hero but i think most Hanzo players are just useless  Still i wont tell them to pick something else…

Also i played online games since the internet was available so i am basically immune to toxicity. I don’t even need a mute button to ignore other players and personal attacks feel rather entertaining

It really makes me sad when players not play ranked and stick to QM just because they feel more toxicity in ranked modes… it’s like they can’t play a balanced game mode just because they have troubles with their emotions.
Act more professional, don’t get distracted by some unfriendly comments. Just do your thing and keep it gangsta skrrrrrrrrrrr!

I hate when this happens. Everyone thinks they should be master but when they get a hero high level players use. They start to flame and trow

Every player logs in with their own account and every Terran experiences the world with their mind and through their own eyes.

Everyone’s game is different. Heroes of the Storm is not a game. It’s an experience. Matches are games. They begin and end. They have rules. The Storm, the Nexus and the Dark Nexus are not games, they cannot be beaten.

You are matter. We are Void. This is our Legacy.

“Toxic” is not someone can be. It is something that people can think of about someone. It is like “being” strong or weak, tall or short, funny or boring.

Terrans of Earth 6 want to know other people’s opinion because they form their own opinions based on that. If you think something, and then ask the people, and that people think different you would reconsider what you were thinking and may eventually agree with them, it will make sense now.

Terran do not have the Khala and are not united by a supreme-godlike entity like the Zerg, they are individuals, and the universe expands from each one’s navel.

Terrans are toxic to each other, to themselves and to absolutely everything and anything they would get in contact with.

Depends what you find toxic.
The toxic language is not that bad and some baddie raging is sometimes entertaining.
I find lower rank players super toxic with their nonsense drafts or afk/feed mentality the moment they dies twice or do not have an easy game.

I get very few toxic people in QM. Every so often, 1 in 10 or so I’ll get someone throw a hissy fit for no reason. And of those only about 1 in 5 are so toxic I will report them.

Havent played ranked since HL was a thing but my experience there was much worse.

My experience leads me to believe that most toxic players are bad players that believe they’re good players and are so concerned with their digital rank that they blame everyone else for failure.

Now toxicity is lower than before. Sometimes appears problem with AFK player in the game who destroys your game. I think there are more players who really enjoy the game.

Compared to other MOBA’s, it’s extremely low, compared to other multiplayer cooperative style games, it’s probably above average, but I think that’s just MOBA’s in general.

Is it just me, or is the toxic player in your games usually the worst player on your team?

It always seems to be the guy who’s constantly out-of-position, has zero macro awareness, and blames everyone else for his stupid and easily avoidable deaths. It’s everyone elses fault he’s feeding.

They’re usually the players that don’t understand that it’s ok to retreat or concede an objective. Every time you run into the other team, it’s not supposed to be played out as a death match and if you have 10% health, don’t go back in!!!
