How do we actually contact Blizzard by phone?

I want to talk to a CS person, how do I do that?

You really can’t anymore.

They can call you but you can’t call them =(.

I thought there might have still been a phone number for WoW Payments, but there doesn’t seem to be. Even if there was, they would tell you “Sorry, I can’t help you”.

Depending what you’re trying to do, you could try snail mailing to J.A.B. (Aka the office of Blizzard’s president). It would take MUCH longer but you’re potential for getting a much better response is higher.

That’s pretty horrible. What company doesn’t offer customer support and expects to keep happy customers? This is why I don’t give them any money and just play what I can for free. Earn my business and I’ll support you.

They’re not the only ones. I had a similar issue with a different platform. I gave them a call only to find the old support line was replaced with a pre-recorded message directing you to their site before hanging up on you.

Their site was pretty awful as well. I know that you can get into an IM chat with CS agents there but I gave up after going in circles with links for like an hour.

Probably more than you’d expect. Difficult to give proper advice for certain technical issues and a lot of people call directly to be angry, and who wants to have a job where you primarily get yelled at? Easier to manage the angry yelling if it is in text.

I’d think it’s probably just a cost issue. If you are already sitting at a computer screen you’re probably more likely to look up common issues through googling rather than waste a living person’s time with it.

I hate how when you are contacting them via email/posting they give you 1 answer and they file the issues as completed. It is like, no way, this isnt done, I have more questions.

They do it so the dont have to pay peope to talk to you, they have just a few people sending copy/pasted messages.

It is sad as hell.

They definitely do it because of a cost issue. But when you want to talk to someone about a problem, Googling it doesn’t normally help.

Could be.
You’d be surprised though at how terrible people can be at googling their problems. So wouldn’t surprise me if they get dozens of dozens of calls regarding easy to solve solutions that’s very easy to google.

What exactly is the big problem that you need to personally contact them?

Depends on the issue, if your internet is acting funky you can easily find the advice to reset your router. And that will probably help, billing and stuff like that on the other hand…

Personally I don’t mind the IM chats with CS, I just think it’s scummy how some of the sites seem designed in a way to prevent you from talking to CS.

its the same everywhere, in France you can’t contact anyone, you need to go on a plateform very boring, press 1 for x thing, press 2 for x thing :woman_shrugging:

I prefer talk to a human :sob:
