Go wild. Learn the Hunt!

how though :frowning:

He’s pretty hard to play on most maps apart from Braxis. Misha gets killed so fast that you’re basically a bird thrower alot of the time.

Like Sami, are you serious in a non meme-ish way about this?

i am being serious though

Try to play as if you were TLV on a single lane with one less body which makes it easier.

what about builds which one suits better in which situation, i recall there’s two builds revolving around rexxar or misha

Imo:

  • lvl 1: Misha if you want to cheese in QM solo bossing so she can tank it. Otherwise go Q so Rexxar can do stuff while you use Misha for the stuff you picked Rexxar for: control points while you still soak.
(Flare if you need vision because you don’t have the minimap dlc.)
  • lvl 4: I like the Globe Greed there. Hp reg and Armor to both is “TIGHT!”
Animal Husbandry if you are a Chad. (Don’t, unless your enemies are bad.)
  • lvl 7: I’m personally a big fan of more CC to peel, chase, interrupt and be left to do dmg, you know, so I recommend W.
  • lvl 10: boars to be useful in tfs. Misha if you want the boss-cheese.
  • lvl 13: BurningRage against Zag and Valeera for lucky reveals. Otherwise the AA speed
  • lvl 16: I would say situational. Feign Death lets you be yourself and play just Misha. But I really like the double area Impossing Presence.
  • lvl 20: Heroic Upgrade if you ask me

If you press D on yourself. Misha follows you

The burst combo is W Q AA , then with misha you bodyblock or attack. (What else)
But use your W before your Q to get max value of your slow

  1. You position rexxar in a way he is safe but can autoattack
  2. Im mostly focused on misha and rexxar is backline poke but if rexxar gets attacked you focus on him
  3. Dont let misha die because without her you are not that usefull
  4. If your bad at mana. Pick the talent where misha can self heal while aa’ing

At one point you can multitask

Don’t take SerONE‘s advice serious in any way!
Take Bird of Prey, when you want to give Spirit Swoop a bit more oomph, otherwise take Easy Prey, Flare is too situational.
You can absolutely take Hungry Bear on level 4 in the beginning. It helps to keep Misha healthy without you healing her all the time.
Grizzled Fortitude can be helpful against AA Heavy opponents otherwise take Hunter Gatherer. Animal husbandry is a meme.
Aspect of the beast is awesome and makes Misha together with Hungry Bear really tanky.
Both Ults have its place like Karabars already wrote.
I personally prefer Dire Beast, I don’t set my Bear on fire!!
But yes Wildfire Bear is great against Zagara, Abathur, Sgt. Hammer.
Thrill of the hunt is situational, Primal Intimidation is great against opponents that have an advantage through faster attack speeds (Illidan, Twin blade Varian),
Otherwise pick feign death. It helps with Pyro blast, Time loop.
The ult upgrades on 20 are both awesome.

Misha is one of the best Bullet Sponges in the game. She can take huge amounts of damage and can escape faster than any other hero with D casted on Rexxar. Keep the symbol above Misha in mind. The colour changes with the command you give her. Red if you tell her to attack, Amber if she should go to a position and Violet when she should return to you (iirc).
Rexxar and Misha are micro management intensive. If you are in solo lane, keep her between you and your opponent. Good opponents will do everything to avoid Misha and try to get to you, since your mobility is limited and your health pool rather small. Should Misha die, her respawn timer is quick (14 s +0.5 s per level) and she spawns right at your side and doesn’t have to run from the hall of storms all the way. So in case of emergency sacrifice her and run.

Rexxar is one of the first heroes I played and I still don’t fully understand his role. There’s not really anything Rexxar can do that some other hero can’t do better. The only real advantage Rexxar has over most other heroes is he can still stay around and collect xp even if Misha dies (though, again, TLV does this better). I suppose he can “safely” snipe health globes, because if misha dies it matters less, but that’s trading a bit of xp for a health globe, which doesn’t seem wise. That’s really it, though - putting misha in spots too dangerous for a real hero. But again, Murky does that better too. It is a tradeoff: a lot of leniency in positioning errors when it comes to Misha in exchange for a harder time positioning Rexxar, due to probably focusing so much on where Misha is.

Best I can figure, the thing to do with Rexxar is just D-click misha on any squishy backline hero and hope it plus misha’s stuns at least distracts them long enough to turn a fight into a 4.5 v 4. Pick talents accordingly.

Of course, rexxar is obviously a perfectly fine solo laner, if that helps.

It’s very simple - thou put on a hat with earflaps on the bear and give to her the command: “- Misha, grab thy bike and balalaika, and attack!” :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: After the victory, thou can drink a bottle of vodka, and then smash it on thy head with a shout: “For the Airborne Forces!”

By writing this, you show me you don’t understand Rexxar at all.
Have you ever heard of “The King of Dragonshire”?
Rexxar is the King of Dragonshire. And here is why.
He excels on point defending maps like Dragonshire, Braxis Holdout and to some degree, Infernal Shrines (quick gathering of skeletons at the shrines) and Tomb of the Spiderqueen (two bodies that collect the gems).
He can solo lane while Misha is capturing the Point or vice versa. Misha can hold the point against other solo laner for a very long time. That’s something, that makes the Duo unique.

i said he was a perfectly fine solo laner. I was really only talking about his role in a team fight is what I don’t get.

If enemies are bad, you’re going to win anyway, so just get in the habit of never piking it

It’s so much fun when ppl overcommit to you underlevled just to reset your stacks 3:)

im trying rexxar in aram, i never have played them, but actually i managed to understand how to play rexxar, just need practice, the key is 1. leave rexxar in a safe spot nearly ur towers or in a bush, and control misha and try to only control the bear and understand how she moves/ attack/heal, then progressively start moving ur rexxar from one place to another, doesnt matter if u dont do anything, just move rexxar to a safe spot while u still control misha, then with practice u will be able to have great control over misha, while u play comfortably with rexxar soaking, taking camps, and teamfights without dying (misha can die) and sidesteping all the enemy skillshots, is hard, but i manged to be able to control rexxar and msiha like 50% of the time with not much effort, just need to focus a lot, is hard
