I know he’s new and all but I really don’t know how to deal with him
I’m not saying he’s OP, he’s good, but not oppressive / OP
I know that Ana is probably his best counter since she can shut down Dark Conversion, his baseline healing AND sleep him
But I don’t always have an Ana on my team, so uh… Anyone know any counters to him?

And if you actually looked at the spotlight video it tells you what he is weak to.
Disruptions, healing mitigation, % based damage effects, not grouping, stuns, lots of things.
It might help to know which heroes you like to play, as a number of heroes have tools in their kits that work well against him. Displacement works well against him, as he needs to hit people to be effective. Kiting him is what you need to do if you find yourself facing him. In addition to Ana, Lucio actually does well against him, with speed boost to help your team avoid his abilities, and boop to interrupt his channels.
Arthas counters him pretty good.
Generally Ana and Deckard are the best ways to shut him down, as they both are capable of CCing and also have access to healing reduction. Aside that, I’ve also found Maltheal to be a good match up against him once he reaches level 7 and can also be used to shut down his trait and healing.
Other than that, Tyrande is also a good healer against him, as she can consistently cleanse his sleep.
A good counter is waitting new patch, nerf comming.
Arthas completely destroys Mal’ganis. Attack slows really screws him over.
yeah his E happens way too often i expect that it will have at least 5 sec longer cd
If the problem is his DC ult, than i would say Lunara.
Her DoT can negate some of his healing, but her lvl 13 Abolish magic can remove the poison effect, so the Ulted ally can be saved.
Tho i haven’t tested it on live server yet, but it worked on PTR

Its a 16 second cooldown, that’s basically a stitches hook.
I played against an Anub. He kept Cocooning me in team fights and it was enraging and effective.
I’ve had a ton of success by just kiting him, fenix is a great example of this.
If he cant hit you, he cant heal either. (and if he uses dark conversion, you’ll still have your shield).
I had fun polybombing him while he channeled his ult.
I mean, if he’s focused he dies pretty fast. IF he chooses life swap, just be prepared with a knock back, stun, or disable to cancel it before it goes off.
He’s extremely vulnerable to Stuns, knock backs etc because of his big hit box and its easy to tell where he’s coming from. Those cancel his sleep, and his life swap. Without those he ant gonna get to you.\
He also gets wrecked by some other tanks 1v1, Artanis, Skeleton King.
Lastly, his sleep is OP. I’m expecting it to be nerfed to only 1 or two targets and maybe they’ll make it so he can talent for more.
