HotS in SC Editor - models not showing

Hello!

I want to address a very specific technical point. I use the StarCraft 2 Editor to load Heroes of the Storm models to create some funny scenes or get a nice screenshot.

In this connection, I had the following problem. StarCraft Editor runs old models without problems, but new ones do not run (a sphere is displayed instead). For example, I cannot load Deathwing, Hogger, for some reason Murky, and so on. The same problem applies to importing models into Blender ( I use: https://github.com/yretenai/io_mesh_m3addon ).

Old models do not have such problems, while new ones display an error. I’m not completely sure that this problem can be attributed to a bug in the game Heroes of the Storm, since this is not directly related to the game, but if the issue is solved by changing one line of code, then it may well be that adding the ability to use models of new characters will allow players to make many new funny videos, like: Heroes of the Storm 3.0 - Cinematic Trailer (Unofficial) [Song by "The Chalkeaters] - YouTube

Those heroes like Hogger, Deathwing, use new M3 models since the 2.12.2020 update.
That graphics material system does not exist in SC2.

You can’t open them with the Starcraft 2 editor because the new models are too advanced. I have no idea honestly why Murky wont load up though. Maybe the animator who created him used advanced tech too all those years ago.

Have you tried to use 3D Studio Max with the M3 import plugin?
