As somebody who plays a lot of Mei lately these changes feel more like a buff for me. Sure, I’ll feel the Avalanche nerf and I kind of expected that but my W+E build only grew stronger. I think both buffs were well deserved, though.
I never understood why they make the Q+E combo inefficient even with talent so 70 mana was about what I expected. The extra second of CDR is kinda unexpected, though. The 100% CDR on Flurry was a quality of life change, though. It always annoyed me how Flurry’s CDR was at average 2s behind Cold Front, it bottlenecked repeat combos very badly. Not like you can commonly execute two combos at once but still… it was bothersome.
For these changes I very gladly be more careful with landing my Avalanches. As for the spell armor nerf on Crystalize? Probably a bit generous but heading for the good direction. Mei’s Cyrostasis isn’t an issue in itself. She basically has a Jo shield but with self-stun and the potential to be used as out of combat healing. The problem is the armor which makes Cyrostasis seem more useful than it really is. Most Cyrostasis builds pick the talent for the CDR synergy anyways so I’m glad this didn’t change.
Cassia needed bigger nerfs. I wish they explained whether zul’jin bounced auto attack ignores a marked enemy when going q build. I don’t think a bounce in auto attack is enough to warrant the talent being picked. It’d have to be something major like sivir auto attack bounce to targets down the line if they clump up. Maybe code it so each auto attack prioritizes heroes and only can strike each target once.
