I actually don’t understand why they nerf it. People who don’t want healing talent can pick something else. But if they nerf it too much, BW will go back to not being played.
Honestly, if they want people to pick anything else, that’s the only option.
BW was not played before they added this effect. Who wants a healer that can’t heal? And if you don’t want to heal, there are dozens of other chars.
You remove that, you turn her into Qhira who’s played by 8 people worldwide.

I feel like brightwings level 1 talent pick rates are the way they are beacuse the options suck and not beacuse hyper shift is op.
Bribe can be good but its pretty situational and is difficult to pick in most team comps.
While greater poly, while sounding insane on paper, is just way to hard to execute in practice. You cant just wait for other peoples CC before poly either beacuse then your stacking CC and thats not helpful.

No one gonna pick that talent anyway unless your comp is so bad you cant even have one go take camps without dying. Also the risk of sneaking into enemy camps to try and steal them is too risky. You better off playing Murky if you want to do that.
Greater Poly is trash aswell cause you have to hit the sheep with your inner circle on your Q or you will miss out on the mana return. And that wont happen most of the time when the sheep moves unprediceble.
That then leaves Hyper Shift as the only good option. The only option that now gets nerfed again for no reason.

I really couldn’t care less that BW is nerfed, annoying hero. Finally, the Samuro nerf is here! Aaaand it’s so minor that he’s still going to dominate the game while remaining extremely difficult to kill while still being able to put out the damage. What a shame.

Less impactful than you would hope it would be. That one extra tick of swarm damage should be just enough to kill 3 (or more) ranged minions standing right next in a single ability cast with no other damage sources, but scaling won’t allow for this sooner than level 9 or 10 so his early game and solo laning stays unchanged. I’m not sure how many more levels you need to effectively wave clear because his auto attack is relatively weak and even with the assistance of your own minions you need to invest more than one swing on each footman before the swarm ends.
I forgot to mention that you need Enduring Swarm for this, otherwise the lack of that 0.5 extended duration delays this dream scenario until your team reaches a very high level.
Where he will benefit the most is late game against stacked waves, especially several catapults in one spot which can eat a lot of precious time and for his role to pop up across the map in an instant, perfect timing is everything.
Right now with the bug in mind if we account for the missing tick of damage, maintaining a 100% swarm uptime isn’t possible while constantly damaging two hero targets with it, unless you take Enduring Swarm for the extra 0.5 seconds of duration, but this will become a thing with the patch without the level 1 talent requirement. The difference between 90% and 100% uptime is negligible but in teamfight terms one second without 50% spell armor could mean the difference between winning and losing the game, especially with your self-healing being delayed.
The main issue however is that swarm talents at levels 1 and 7 aren’t that attractive or popular to begin with.
Quite obvious the one person or small group of people delivering these balance changes are actually playing the game.
Obnoxious Genji/Samuro players have tainted the meta for a while now.

Good to see Samuro get this slight nerf, and I’m saying this as a Samuro player.
Li Li not receiving any attention is a bit of a disappointment, she’s been languishing for years now without any significant adjustments to her talents.

I do think that instead of nerfing BWs Hyper Shift, they could’ve just buffed her other talents.
Greater Polymorph could’ve been made to passively reduce polymorph’s cooldown by 2 seconds, and additional 5 seconds upon landing a Q, after it. Making it a more reliable talent overall. And maybe they could bring back its takedown cooldown reset, but this may be a stretch
And perhaps they could’ve baken in part of Hyper Shift’s functionality into BW’s baseline kit. Like 0.5 cd reduction baseline, and additional 0.5 sec with the talent, along with the 6% heal.

Can you guys make all heroes available in aram? It’d be awesome to see an all vikings or even have an abathur available to pick. Aba would be like Golden Eye on Slappers Only.
