Since the patch i’m not able to play the game, the client says there is a mismatch in region patches and tells me to update the client/game. When i do this it says the game is up to date and scan/repair does nothing because there is nothing wrong with the game files.
Did anyone just get a full dose of copium or is it just me.
I’m not a huge fan of the forced nature. I wish there was an option to return it or adjust it. I’m so used to the lock on certain characters I don’t even look at my own character anymore

To be honest, this was most likely already in the pipeline and MS has nothing to do with it.

Ain’t most heroes hard to master?
Quite a conundrum what is meant by difficulty. Some heroes cough! Tyrande cough! have had several reworks without a change in rating. Some heroes have been nerfed to very hard and some buffed to easy in the same span. And the elephant in the room is whether players six years prior would have considered these accurate or is the bar set lower?
HotS getting an update made me hard too.
From a mechanical point of view, Brightwing is lightweight. But if she hath her counterpick (burst damage, focus), then of course it’s difficult. As for any hero. The developers assign difficulty depending on the mechanics. They can be wrong, but not in this case.
There are some heroes easier to master than others. Lili, for example is quite mechanically simple - just hold Q all the time and cast other abilities as required. No need to aim them even.
While there is indeed some learning curve involved for every hero, it is much steeper for some of them than it is for others
You can usually fix this issue by simply rebooting your computer/device. The other fix is to select a different region to your default, load up, then switch back to your preferred region.
I’m holding hope, that this patch has meaning, something like:
“They wouldn’t have patched a ‘dead game’ like this, if they didn’t plan on adding new content and continuing [renewed] support”.
I hope this patch isn’t going to be the last ‘significant’ thing to happen to the game for another 2 years or more.
For some reason, they fell behind with relabeling, one of the worst offenders was Malfurion. Before his major rework, Malf was labeled easy, as indeed he was. I recall Malf even had some automated talents like “Lifebloom”, that applied a Q every 15 seconds or some such.
Outside of landing his root, OG Malf wasn’t much more difficult than Li Li, but after the rework, he was up there with Whitmane and Tyrande.
Well, that kinda explains, partly, why I have such rotten time with Malf. Maybe I’m wrong but I have this recollection of Malf having some spell, like cleanse, almost every tier which made him very strong.
what about cleanse? and using blind efficiently?

I’m not sure if i’m in the right piace to write this, however i’d like to send a message to hots devs while sharing it with all players.
Beside the fact i’m glad these recent patches came out, which give positive signals of a still on going project (in some form at least), i would like to focus on medivh portal camera changes which is messing me up my mechanics really really deeply. I feel that is not possible to reach any more some intensive mechanical hops like before which released high dps thanks to aa+raven dmg and/or qs. (For some good examples of this i suggest everyone interested in it to google killidan medivh compilation. You can find it on yt as welll. Killidan is a medivh player with some of best mechanics u can find out there nowdays , in my personal opinion).
I feel dat this change has a really heavy impact on all the experience that players have built around portal usage along these years. Let me know if im not alone in this feeling.
Closing this post i ask and beg directly to any hots dev reading this to implement at least the possibility to players to choose between the old lock camera on portal or the new fashion of it. it may help experienced players to keep their mechanics built with much much time and effort, and let open the way to players approaching the hero for the first time to choose which mechanic suits them the most.

I’m glad HOTS are releasing patches! Really nice to see the game updated. I can’t forget those first feelings when I first played HOTS, and was running around with the first few Heroes lol
There’s some strong effort and hard-work being done on this patch. All spot on, except one. They reduced Chen’s difficulties -.-. I felt like he was hard and well rewarded the effort … xd
