Any idea if we can see this game on google and apple Heroes of the Storm On Mobile MOBA?
That’d would be basically a new game. They stopped supporting the main game, why would anyone recreate a dumbed down version for an abandoned game?
well, Diablo 3 did get the ported-game treatment by going from computer to console and getting adjustments to make it work on a different platform.
It’s not unprecedented, but it would require work to adjust the controls and monetization. But, it might potentially compete against the other mobile blizzard games, and thus end up less profitable and not worth the risk/cost
Diablo immortal on mobile was not even a proper made game. I had the game for 2 weeks before I finally deleted it again because game keep crashing evey 5 min. Clicking repair did not help and my mobile also got very hot from playing it unlke other game I got on it.
Technically modern phones and tablets should not have an issue running HotS. However, HotS is not optimised for mobile play so it may have user input issues and will certainly drain the battery of the device running it.
Absolutely not. Blizzard doesn’t deserve another penny, especially not for HotS. I wish them nothing but the worst.
an odd way to say WoW and overwatch but I’ll let it slide
I do not want it on mobile because otherwise I would be playing matches on lunch break when I need to eat, at my parents, in the vehicle while traveling, and other places.
I would revert back to my couch potato gameboy days of having a pokemon guide in my lap, a gameboy in hand, and having a 100% socialization debuff.
I don’t want Hots on mobile, simply due to the fact that players already have such bad Internet connections, you would think they are routing through one of the Mars Rovers. Somehow, I don’t think a mobile game would make that situation less of an issue.

Agreed. I supported Hots before everything I paid for was made free after 2.0 and the introduction of loot chests. Blizzard nuked Overwatch 1 (I paid money for that), I no longer trust that Blizzard will deliver a game, where more effort is put into making a quality game, over prioritizing monetization.
Clearly I don’t mind monetization in games, as I acknowledged above that I spent money on Hots, but if OW2, DI, D4 are representative of Blizzard’s new direction, the game design comes a distant second to the efforts to optimize monetization to squeeze every cent out of the consumer.
Spells and movement would be too difficult to implent on mobile.
Gotta bring back those LAN parties from ages past. Meet up with 4-9 other people to play HotS. If someone trolls everyone can beat them up. Also will know exactly why someone goes AFK. Sharing family size bags of snacks, boxes of hot pockets, orders of greasy pizza, and drinking copious amounts of soda. Or booze. All the while playing HotS on either pcs or whatever mobile device that it can function on.
Be like old times.
Money would be on a really bad port like what used to be carried out for RTS games from PC to consoles such as Command and Conquer 3.
It probably would have ported quite well but sadly to late I believe as the name is already tarnished
Reminds me when I was playing Age of Empires on LAN with my friends. We would make fun of whoever got beaten. Oh yea and the good old times when I was part of a Diablo 2 tournement in a club for young kids/teens. Sadly it did not go well because Blizzard had a major server problem that night. No one could log into battlenet that evening/night so it ended up with us doing small LAN parties lvling up some chars in offline mode. So no winner was found that day.
There used to be a local joint where we all would go to after school or on the weekends to play Halo, Gears of War, or some other game to trash talk one another and have a good time.
When I lived with my parents I had the xbox and xbox360 hooked up with us all playing 4v4 Halo 2 matches. Usually around the holidays when everyone got together in the basement. A few times people brought their own xbox360s over to hook up to the other two tvs in the basement with us all playing the Gears of War 1,2, and 3 horde modes.
I miss those days.
Sadly that’s just gaming under Capitalism now. It will never get better.
Porting HOTs to mobile? It’s such a bad idea, that I could see Blizzard actually doing it.
Age of empires 2 LAN parties were the greatest! Probably some of the best gaming experiences of my life
This couldn’t be worded any better IMO
I feel the same. While I was a fan of HOTS 2.0 system from a consumer (when I started seriously playing), I actually don’t think it was very good for Bliz TBH, In my whole time I think I spent about $5 twice to get the Gem mounts.
You just unlocked some fond memories of my friends and husband playing AE2 on a LAN. That might have been my very first “online” game, so much fun, even if it seems primitive compared to the online games we have now.
It is my understanding, from various former dev/friend of the devs retrospectives of HotS, that HotS was not losing money for Blizzard on the day it was cancelled and for a long time leading up to it. It was more an issue of it not being profitable enough and management wanting to take a risk by reassigning the development resources to the next AAA or Fortnite tier game in the hope it would make more profit than HotS already was.
