Has Blizzard shut down their PST and EST time zone hots servers?
I haven’t been able to find a clear answer for this question. It looks like at one point there was PST, and EST servers. I was wondering if they are still available?
To see your connection status mid game its ( Control+Alt+F)
During this spring they made it so you can’t choose between them anymore, because there was a lack of players when people were split among the two.
They still exist separately but you aren’t allowed to set them as a preferred server from the options anymore. It only shows United States now.

" After looking at the causes for North American players’ longer wait times and instances of not queuing together, we are bundling matchmaking for our US regions together. This will only happen for players if they have good pings to both sites, and our simulations have shown that we can create better games faster this way. If you don’t experience this, please let us know!"
Ok it says that they are bundling match making, meaning there is only one match making bracket. It doesn’t say anything about hosting for the actual matches themselves. The post even goes on to apologize for the possibility of connection issues. Is there anything else to better confirm if see if these sites still exist?
This is interesting, anyone have any ideas?
Hopefully someone has some insight into this question. Closing down 2/3 the USA server locations seem like something a transparent company would inform clearly their customers about. (Yes they are not available or no they have been removed)
I was always forced to use Central because the East server, despite being a good 30-40 ms latency lower, would frequently lag out or disconnect. It was like for about 10 months before they canned it.

They shut down the Eastern server and merged the Western and Central servers.
Makes sense thanks, it would be nice to hear something official though
There was an announcement, but I don’t think it was within any patch notes, so it would be hard to find. I know it was confirmed, though, since I was annoyed that they didn’t just fix the connectivity issues with the East server.
