I know there is a similar thread already.
But I wanted to group up all the data to see which Hero Main is facing most issues from which other heroes.
For instance. Me being MING player, hate Zeratul n Valeera.
A tabulated form would provide a good insight , and im up for the work. Also, we can ask the players who MAIN in the counter of your hero to giv you some tips and make life a little LESS hectic in the Nexus,
Follow this Format
1 = Chose max 3 heroes tht u play most
2 = Chose max 3 counters each (the one u feel most helpless or uncomfortable playing against)
3 = If you had the option to ban ONE hero (irrespective of what you play) who would tht b = MUST BAN
4= YOUR RANK (SL rank) those who did not, plz edit your commnt n do, ,thanks
Hero 1 = Li Ming = Zeratul, Valeera, Genji, r a real pain
Hero 2 = Greymane = Johanna, Artanis, not a pain though
Hero 3 = KT = Valeera, Zeratul, Genji
MUST BAN = Medivh (I just hate the crow, shield > portal > gone)
this is heroes iāve played a lot, or felt iāve play a lot recently.
identical to yours
to be clear, i bolded the āwould banā hero.
Hero 1 ā The Lost Vikings: The Butcher, Zagara, KTZ
Hero 2 ā Stukov: KTZ, Jaina, Kaelāthas
Hero 3 ā Uther: Lunara, KTZ, Junkrat
SL rank: Platinum 2 currently, plat1 peak.
global mention:
KelāThuzad: My MMR range puts me into the top players of QM, so most KTZās I encounter (enemy or friendly team) can almost effortlessly pull of their combos. He might be okay in ranks where people are less mechanically skilled, but it really feels like his secondary chain pull has too long a range. Unless Iām playing a hero with a solid mobility talent it feels bad.
other heroes:
The Lost Vikings ā The Butcher: I think this one is obvious. generally speaking if youāre soaking as vikings, the butcher can probably charge and get a kill. If you play to safe as vikings, youāre not getting the exp your need. So he causes trouble.
The Lost Vikings ā Zagara: Her global lane control is simply strong and can counter a lot of pressure that vikings put out in the mid game. Her power does not diminish much when she teamfights.
Stukov ā Jaina/Kaelāthas: Stukov has viable anti-AA talents and semi-bursty healing. His AOE healing overall is not high enough to deal with these AOE+High Damage mages.
Uther ā Lunara: Uther does not deal well against lots of DoT.
Uther ā Junkrat: His damage is not DoT, but it tends to be spread out and on multiple heroes, something Uther has trouble healing. He can also displace melee heroes more easily than ranged heroes. honestly, this was me digging for āwho is annoying when Iām playing Utherā. I feel pretty good playing Uther against most heroes. He is solid.
Artanis - Cassia, Johanna, Li Li (although I almost never see her in ranked, she is still an evil furball)
Anubāarak - Split-pushers (come here and fight me, coward!), Raynor, Li Ming (we sort of counter each other, as she affects my Cocoon timing and target)
Blaze - my own team (click the damn bunker), Imperius, Malthael
Universal ban - Garrosh. I generally donāt have a problem with him on the tanks I play regularly, but I have had far too many team mates who just want to give the orc a big hug. He also makes it tough to draft melee heroes in general, so can really skew a draft and team fight engagement.
as an aram player the only hard counters that i HATE, are:
Garrosh, the One-Trick-Pony,
if youāre playing melee heāll just press E and youāre dead.
i also hate playing as or with alexstrasza against a competent Ana.
alexās main heal is a sloooow big healing aoe on a 16 second cooldown.
and ana has that grenade that denies all healing for several secondsā¦
on a 16 second cooldown,
in short ana could potentially disable alexās main heal for the entire game.
Tracer: Zeratul, Valeera, Diablo, Tassadar, Brightwing, Tyrande. Uther
Must ban: Depends on the enemy comp. It is important to not allow two heroes to force you to recall - such as Keal and Butcher. Butcher can run at you, force you to recall then Keal can fireball you.
Li Ming: Anub, Illidan, Zagara, Any self-heal Build tank that always positions themselves between you and their team.
Must ban: Anub with the stuns and those pesky beetles
Medivh is the biggest troll character in the game with an entire kit made to piss people off.
Protected on a low cd? Check.
Teleports on a relatively low cd? Check, except his teammates can also use them. Think about it, Medivh has a Blink and can let his teammates blink⦠WITH wormhole, already built in and continuously usable until the ability runs out.
Strong AoE projectile that pierces? Check.
Polymorph? Check, plus it spreads like a disease, because Medivh is a plague and I hate him.
Void Prison? Also check. Also he can steal camps with it, because FU, thatās why.
And if all this wasnāt bad enough he can go bird form where you canāt touch him and he can get globes safely, because FU you and your mount too, thatās why.
Honestly, hate probably doesnāt convey the amount of seething and burning rage I feel when I am playing against a good one.
Wormhole was super strong because you basically had to pre-stun Zeratul, casting as he blinked in.
Now it is less strong.
Portal can be used by team, but it has a channel time and can easily be disrupted if your team has disruption. What makes Blink good is itās instant cast.
Portal is more like Fenixās teleport then a blink. minus the āevade things when Fenix is teleportingā. It is not instant, it makes it much weaker.
Itās only strong if you donāt dodge it. Which is even easier now.
thatās on your team.
Did you mean to say Time Stop?
Void Prison is not the only time stop in the game, although it is the most powerful.
lol.
Same for a good tracer, and good Genji, and good Hanzo and good Alarak and⦠Well. Basically playing against someone on a hero that can make plays that is super good is incredibly annoying.
Iām not arguing balance with you because I actually do think heās balanced. I just hate playing against good ones because I feel like his kit is designed to troll - which I also take pleasure in inflicting on others when I play him on occasion.
Iāve played against good Genjis, Hanzos, and Alaraks and none of them piss me off more than a good Medivh. Iām well aware of his weaknesses and how to play against him, he just annoys me - like a good Lunara.
Iām not advocating he be changed or anything, just giving an opinion and why I have that opinion. You got your own opinions Iām sure, and well I got mine.
Medivh - Abathur.
In QM Iām usually forced to play against the Slug if I go caw-mode.
In draft, that wonāt be a problem at all, since Medivh can counter and pick out the Slug on his own, as the pecking order should be, but in QMā¦
In QM, Aba is a pseudo global Healer, while Medivh is not a pseudo healer, not even from meleeā¦
And if Iām the only one who is able to hunt down Aba I can either deny even that little āhealerā powers I have from my team and leave them 4.5v4 while I go to be the early bird (while they suicide), or I can give up on my dreams to kill the slug and getting outhealed and outsoaked/pushed.
Also, his 40% movespeed shield just makes my portals useless unless I have the opportunity to make it go through terrain.
