Hanamura Temple Objective needs a buff and a terrible map still

The objective on Hanamura Temple is way to weak, when you win the first two objectives and it doesn’t even take a single fort, is a problem. The samurai camps push much better and are way more powerful, adding to the timer on them was a good start, but they need to do something so winning the objective on this map is worth it. It’s way to weak and sometimes people just ignore getting it all together. Even late game it doesn’t even do enough damage to get a keep.
Even the first objectives on sky temple, if you get all the shots it takes a whole fort.
They released this map twice now and it is still bad, late game its just both teams sitting around. Getting both their camps, clearing the enemies samurai camp, waiting for the next objective to spawn doing nothing.

I like new Hanamura a lot, though I agree the objective should probably be just a little stronger.

I’m pretty sure it doesn’t. It will definitely cut deep into its health bar, but IIRC it won’t outright kill it if it has to go through the gate and towers first.

100% agree.

And on a slightly off topic (objective damage, different map) it would be lovely if BHB objective didn’t 100% a core that has full shields.

Make it deal like, 95% of a fully shielded core.

I like hamanura as it is now, Beeing better in tf does not guarante you victory. I am fine on that. You need to show more skill than go with objective.
I hope they dont touch it.

It just teaches or confuses new players, every other map the objective is so strong and this game teaches you to get the objective, fight over it. But in Hanamura to many times I see players ignore the strong samurai camps, push the payload as the samurai camp takes a fort on its own and when we finally get the payload, oh, wow. It took a wall. No other map is the siege camp much stronger than the actual objective.
Yeah its good to have variety, but like I said, this game teaches players how good each objective is, and in Hanmaura its not true, and new or lower skilled players have no way to realize that,

Why not? Once they lose to the camps a few times, they will realise it.
That’s literally how learning works.

And how long will it take for them to learn? The new Hanamura Update was announced last year in August, coming up on a year and people still playing the map wrong.
It is the only map on rotation where ignoring the objective is better than doing it. It reminds me of Haunted Mines where most games people would just ignore the objective, push lanes, get camps. And that map has been removed for a long time now.
Even high lvl play, Grandmasters, Masters, in ranked complaining how the map is just boring late game. “Get samurai camp, clear samurai camp. Get turret camps, wait for payload to spawn, repeat” And since it does so little damage you have to win like three of them late game for it to do anything.

So all im saying, buff the shots just a little, make it a little worthwhile to get it.

Devs have said objective is weak on purpose. I actually like it as it is. The game already has sky temple and blackheart bay for a strong bombardment objective if you’re into that.

Diversity is nice

Not as bad as it once was though not my favorite map. But I get that map and Alterac A LOT in ranked.

Hanamura is just a PvE fest. Definitely should not be in ranked rotation.

Does more than the first punisher does… it isn’t that bad, just not worth losing camps or soak to take.

As always, bads will be bads.
Those that actually want to improve will read up on the strategy and adapt, those that just want to 5v5 headbutt will continue doing so.

Nicely said. It would be stupid to change something only becouse bad player do not see why they lost all structures. Actualy why all 5 members of team let Samurai push. This is not rocket science.
Personaly I LOVE games where it is not 5vs5 all the time and this map is really good at it.
