Guess the crying of Quira stopped?

So been away on holidays and saw some patch notes tonight…

Crying stopped?

The crying for any sort of nerfs never stops.

Just check first 20 posts and you realize half of them are QQ ones.

It’s just like the Riot forum, to be honest. ‘Nerf’ threads are half the content.

Must be a genre thing.

No adapting to heroes. Just demanding they be weakened.

Welp, after patch, what had some Qhira nerfs, crybabies stopped to make posts about her.

She remains a pubstomper and one of the first 4 bans in every ranked game I play, but I’ve also noticed a decline in nerf requests. Maybe people just got tired of it and after the first round of nerfs trust that more are coming, who knows.

It’s easier to ask for nerfs, not to learn how to play vs her.

That’s why living bomb and devastating charge never got changed over the years.

Imagine PyroBlast or living bombs nerfs within next patch.

Bronze players rise up!

Well tassadar got buffed this way why not?

Get out.

For me it was a petty jab but to you it was a qhira balance.

Quira wasn’t even that good before the nerfs. All she was good for was QM. In organized play in ranked the only time I had a problem with her was when i was solo laning as Jimmy and oh boy i died because she counters me therfore op nerf her now.

Tears over Qhira continue, but it’s not at Niagara levels anymore. Things have moved on to “KTZ ult buff insane, nerf!” (it can be a tad bonkers) and the usual “nerf KT’s living bomb!”

Life on the forums, consistency at least.

I don’t ban her in my games, even before nerf. We just took burst comps so when she committed she’d have zero counterplay because we’d blow her up.

Her choices were either to not commit and be useless or commit and die then be useless lol.

In my opinion, the problem isn’t to learn how to play against her, but that she has a horribly overpowerd kit for a melee assassin:

  • She has a high health pool
  • she deals high damage - “burst” (W/E) and sustained “poke” (Q+bleed)
  • she can (burst) heal herself - doesn’t have to stay in melee range for that
  • she has an escape/burst dmg trait
  • she has a double hard cc and invulnurability

… all with her basic abilities!
And with the heroic, there joins a long distance, low cd finishing tool.

80% of her kit basically screams bruiser … but she still has the dmg of an assassin.

If we look at other typical melee assassins (only basic abilities) in comparison:

  • Zera: much less hp, no sustained dmg, no heal, no cc (same: escape, burst dmg)
  • Samuro: much less hp, no heal, no cc (same: “poke” through clones, burst dmg, escape)
  • Illidan: much less hp, no burst / poke, heal locked to melee range (and no burst), no escape, no cc
  • Kerrigan: less hp, no “poke”, no selfheal (only a week sustained shield), no escape (same: cc, burst dmg)
  • Alarak: much less hp, less/no sustained dmg, heal hard to get much out of it, escape part of the dmg combo; so mostly on cd after an engage, only soft cc
  • Maiev: less hp, no sustained dmg, burst locked behind cuddling enemies, no heal, cc locked behind displacement range (same: “poke”, escape/invuln.)
  • Butcher: no burst dmg, no “poke”, heal locked to melee range + one target, no escape, (same: hp, cc)
  • Valeera: less hp, no sustained dmg/poke, no heal (same: burst dmg, escape, cc)

I don’t care about Qhiras numbers, I’m worrying about where HotS is going with it’s kits in comparison to older heroes.

now lets give Pyro a 40 second cooldown and reset on kill, balance! :joy:

Far more mobility as well as stealth to prevent AA damage until he engages. Also, a more versatile burst combo and better waveclear. Also also, Zeratul’s Heroics are insane, and arbitrarily ignoring them is stupid.

Better lane pressure and sustained damage, waaaaaaaaaay better mobility, semi-global presence, and great camp taking. Samuro is a macro hero. He doesn’t gank, he eeks value.

No escape? Friend or Foe, and his W exists. Illidan is a weak hero for sure, but you can’t just literally lie.

Kerrigan is also a very weak hero who’s too reliant on her combo. It would be more concerning if Qhira was worse than Kerrigan.

More range, far more versatile skillset, far stronger CC, and just overall safer. Alarak isn’t a melee assassin in the same way Qhira or many others are. He’s more of a melee mage. He doesn’t engage, he brings the fight to him. Oh, and Silence and displacement are not “soft CCs”. Outside of a stun, they’re literally the two best CCs you can have.

Better CC all around, better ults, lower cooldowns on everything. Maiev has a monstrous kit and has been a strong hero for all of her existence. You’re misconstruing facts.

No burst? Have you ever been hit by a meated Butcher? His AAs are burst.

More flexible CC. Massively more flexible CC. Like, the best CC outside of Maiev. Also, Valeera has more HP than Qhira. Qhira has 1950, Valeera has 2047. Do a little research before you type.

It’s pretty easy to make blanket comparisons when you lump things like CC and burst into categories, when in reality the delivery is more important than the stats. Qhira has to hard engage to get value, and is crippled by Unstoppable and Stasis. Her kit is inflexible and simple, and lacks the ‘centerfold’ power that characters like Zeratul and Maiev bring.

I’m talking about what’s in a basic ability kit, so don’t start talkign about something else.

Stealth helps nothing against skillshots, that are as easy to land on him as on Qhira, he has two mobility tools, so has Qhira. … Still leaves his hp pool and his inability to heal himself baseline.

Better mobility? It’s a tiny hop he can do … Qhira flies across half the map with her trait. … And for the makro thing you need his heroic - still not what I’m talking about; I’m talking about teamfight value.

Oh please … that little swush forewards? and the other is a talent, so no basic ability … to get it, you have to forgo other things.

Well, I can accept that - good, so we don’t need to compare him at all to her.

Better cc? Her Stun only works if you can get out of the range of the theather and that’s one stun … not two in the same ability … and i’m still not talking about ults.

Yes, but only if he get’s that meat. He has to work hard the whole game long, while Qhira starts basically with his 200 meat stacked. See the difference?

Not accoding to heroesfire, where I did my research, and even so … I would like my Valeera to have Qhiras selfheal, then she could actually be played outside of QM. … And her Blade Flurry should have the range of a WoW Fan of Knives so she can stay out of melee range to “poke” down the enemy team before going in.

Oh good, that’s really a big disadvantage … I mean, basically every hero has that … not just 10% of the whole roster with a one minute cd or more.
