This video kinda tries to teach ppl how to know what works.
I think it’s less “how that works” and more “what does work”.
Now the viewer could extrapolate the “how” from what he’s doing, but overall this seems more like a “what to do” guide. Especially in the instance someone decides to pick Artanis.

I think what he means by that is if you lock johanna your team will feel secure enough to go for 3 backline.

He’s not wrong. Johanna is weak at peeling compared to other heroes, so if the enemy team has strong dive Johanna’s just less capable of stopping it.
She’s still in the holy trinity of tanks (etc, joh). She’s just slightly further away now from the top 2
Without further context, I don’t think we should judge everything he says based on that. That’d be kind of ridiculous to do.
How is are 2 AoE stun, a blind, and a slow “weak” compared to whatever stitches , diablo, varian or Muradin

Its the only context he provides, if he doesnt add more, you need to judge on what you have. If you know the drafting bot is wrong , why should you listen?

I don’t recall hearing that text on your screenshot taken out of context from him.
But if we’d want to talk about Johanna weaknesses: she has no real engage or gapcloser before lvl 10, which might be why she’s not that safe as maintank, or whatever points and situation that text on the background trying to refer to.

She has a gap closer its her lvl 4 movement speed
Her engage is a W+Q combo
Dont forget it slows for 60% and 90% if you pick subdue
