But they have? Press ESC and click on return to desktop? You aren’t able return to the lobby, because it would encourage you to quit games and ruin the game for others.

There is a leave button. You press ESC and then EXIT.

A surrender option has been raised 100000 times. Blizzard will not implement this, even though they have damaged their own game forcing their players to request this option.
If Blizzard actually fixed the core issues of the game, then players will not ask for this option.
Prevention is better than a cure, in Blizzard’s case, let’s create a disease and not offer the cure.
There is no such thing as unwinnable. And if a match is truly too hard to turn around, you only need to wait like 1 min for the enemy to finish. If they don’t win quick with all the advantage (like structure, lvl, obj) they got, it’s totally winnable.

We always look at the “it makes life easier for me” but what about that person that waited 10 mins for a match, finally got one, and then everyone quit on them.
You should be punished for quitting. Grow up.

My favorite quit button is just to go and turn off the breakers of my apartment. 
Heck, go take some pot shots at the transformer box and shut down the whole neighborhood. That will show those devs a thing or two for deliberately giving you unwinnable games!

And when the police show up at the door you better not say you were quitting a hots match because they’ll take you into custody right away.

I have seen an increase numbers of times now where qm que pop up and then someone disconnect or exit the game casue they dont want to play in that team comp. So they just dodge the game while the countdown is up forcing eveyone els back to reque again.
I qued up as Garrosh last evening and had 3 times someone dodged or disconnected from the countdown screen. Only thing that was done to adresss draft dodging in qm was making sure you cant log out when countdown begins. But you can still exit the game and dodge that way with no penalty to you.

I have noticed that as well, its so annoying lol. I honestly would rather have that happen since you don’t have to go through the process of playing a match where people leave. I don’t think that’s too bad. It happens a lot in Ranked as well where people get mad because their hero got banned or someone else locked them so they dodge.
I think that in this specific case, the system should detect a disconnect and count it as if they left during the match. People who bypass this using that loophole should be punished as well but instead of leaver’s queue, they should just have a time lock that gets progressively larger the more they dodge matches this way. It doesn’t require them to win a match, but still punishes the behavior.
To be clear, this is for QM only and only if they manage to close the game during the 5 seconds before the match starts. Ranked players who dodge should still be penalized the rank points and acquire leaver’s queue.

I also noticed this happening more now than before 
Uninstalling the game is much easier.
