General movement speed buff: are there more heroes as ruined by it as my good man Gazlowe? :(

He is my favorite hero to play. Yes, yes, Gazlowe is blah-blah-blah, bad hero. I’m aware of the general perception of him. I picked him from time to time in Storm League and was doing fine. I agree that if we speak about lasor build, there are always better picks than him. I picked him if I saw the opportunity for good gravos, which could be quite the pain to deal with for certain enemy team compositions.
Well, rejoice, no more Gazlowe picks from me in ranked. With movement speed buff gravos are just not a threat anymore. You have to be pretty sleepy to not be able to run away. And even if you do get pulled in you still have plenty of speed to run from the xplodium stun. Even slowing turrets can’t help with that :sob:
Goodbye, my good time with the hated little green guy, it was fun while it lasted.

The worst thing is with Kelthuzad and his delays on abilities, is impossible to hit anyone when they move, until someone is tanking for you, his casting animations are too slow and predictable for new movement speed buff. Same about Mephisto durance of hate. I personally dislike this buff.

Orphea got a rather noticeable hit.

Well, Kelthuzad is my most hated hero to play against (you know - late game, one lucky combo ‘out of nowhere’ and boom! minus one, gg we lost) so I kinda a bit happier in that regard and don’t feel your pain there
But yeah. “Look! I’m like Neo!” against his chains is real now. And Orphea’s claws too. On top of both Orphea’s poor ults.

*sigh
I wish devs made some adjustments to some abilities. Preferably not in a couple years from now.

Revert the Jaws nerf Blizz! :frowning:

I did not really notice anything, same with KTZ.

Just aim better. Its not like everyone has positioning and reflections. You need to look at the advantage of playing gaz. You can easyer double soak or take camps

Both are easier to juke?

I don’t remember exact number, but I’m around 125lvl Gazlowe. Most of it were QMs but still. I believe I know Gaz. There are better double soakers than him. There are better campers than him.
I considered him to be worthy pick in ranked only when gravos were looking promising.

I was pretty successful with gravos before. And now I’m not successfull at all. Gravo-oriented build is no more. People were saying in the game chat how Gazlowe is useless and I (~125lvl!) was agreeing with them!

I must say that I really don’t like it. It makes short skillshots like Muradin’s Storm Bolt super hard to land sometimes, and heroes with delayed or slow AoEs like Gul’dan and Li Ming feel clunky now (well, clunkier in Li Ming’s case).

It hasn’t completely ruined the game for me, but it has definitely added a couple more heroes to my Do Not Play list.

As a bruizer-tank main, I REJOICE watching mages suffer.

Also, now playing against Orphea feels fair.

But doesn’t Gazlowe also benefit from the speed increase? He can dodge skillshots easier now as well.

Feel like everyone complains that they cannot hit anymore, but ignore the dodge possibilities…

Emmmm… what made you think I’m not aware of this, exactly? I mean:

I complain, that some abilities became close to useless with the speed buff. May be (I don’t know the statistics to make a judgement) some of it is warranted.
Probably like many others, I happen to be in a situation where Orphea was out of position with low hp, then badumts, the two of us dead and she is back to full hp. May be the fact that her claw skill is harder to land is indeed makes the combination of her kit and selfheal more balanced. But is there anybody who thinks that her ults are oh no, so scary, nerf it blizzzzz?

My main complaint is that my favorite hero suffered the most, to the point that previously powerfull, serving as a counter to some heroes and abilities, often gamechanging ulty that was making him pickworhty, now is just, I don’t know, a zoning tool?

Also, and I sniggered at it a lot: in my last game I managed to stun more heroes with xplodium charge without a gravo than with it. As I said previously, even if gravo does pull somebody in, which is now rare in itself, that somebody is still fast enough to run before the xplodium goes off, thanks to very telegraphed warning.
