Chromie, Kael’thas, Nazeebo, Tassadar, Gul’dan, Azmodan, Orphea, Jaina, Kel’thuzad, Phrobius, and Gall all have huge weaknesses and are pretty much F’ed once they are engaged within Melee combat. Gall not being able to do anything without cho who needs to be in melee combat exception. All these mages don’t have a teleport (unless gul’dan picks his level 20 talent) none of them have great mobility, all of them can be easily punished. Not only that but a lot of these mages don’t have a long range on their abilities outside of Siegemaster Chromie and Siegemaster Azmo which are also considered ridiculously powerful mages.
Li-ming has long range abilities… that reset upon heroes death and apon actually hitting an enemy, she can continue to cast uninterrupted and repeatedly and with a solid team she can’t be touched. Other mages have to wait 5-12 seconds per cast, Li ming? nah we spam that all day, no cool downs here. Getting close to where melee can catch ya? Why all her abilities have as much range as Hanzo’s Q build. A melee can actually bypass her team and get to her? Nah just teleport away, get a free one if you get hit once so you can teleport twice every 4 seconds.
What you guys wanna bring her win rate into this? Why we pulling these dead stats on a dead game that no one plays huh, you guys clearly would rather be here on the forums than in there in the game. She’s got 3 different builds, low skilled players see her dominating and only pick her so her win rate can’t be relied upon when in the hands of someone who knows how to play. Win rate means nothing to a heroes strength or weakness.
Please for the love of god for those that actually spend more time in the game than on the forums nerf Li-ming, let it be the range of her abilities, her talents and trait so she can’t spam them so much, or make her hit like a wet noodle. No one enjoys playing against a Li-ming.
Don’t die, don’t get hit by it? Both her Q, W are skillshots. It’s not that hard to dodge them, or lure her into using spells. If you get CC chained to bits, that’s a separate problem.
As mentioned, stats don’t show her as op right now.
can’t avoid such big abilities in narrow paths or sneak surprise from bush shots, in engagement with melee who is keeping you there, crowd control, its easy for li-ming, missing her abilities means the player just sucks. Of course a li-ming main wouldn’t want a nerf. The game would require skill then.
chromie has a 3 sec cd spam spell, same as ming and she can talent into cdr for effectual resets…
gul’dan has a 2 sec cd spell spam and can get spell cdr for his comboes…
kael has free casts on trait and can get cdr on his cc to get more cast times in 5 seconds than ming can
orphea gets cdr on hits
probius has low cdr spell spam too…
jaina used to be largely defined by her q spam into cdr option, but now can also build into cone or blizzard cdr and has a heroic that can double her cast spam… it’s like you’re trying to compare a hero with talents to heroes that don’t and assert that justifies your position.
many of the selected heroes have hard cc that ming does not so the trade-off is minor mobility for that trade. Yea, ming could arguably be said to be easier to play, but most of these heroes perform better with more skilled players (combos) because cc chains can be more valuable than mindless spell with a short teleport.
A lot of them also can cope with melee heroes; chomie has time trap and slow/reset kiting, gul’dan can fear/drain and facetank a lot of dive solo, kael can ensure cc into aa chains and solo a lot of hero dive, orphea kites melee heroes, and so on.
Your presumption seems to bank on the notion that ‘forum warriors’ are disagreeing with your whining because they don’t play the game as much, but from what I can glean, they participate on the forum more than you do because they also play the game more than you do.
If the game is as dead as you want to try to argue, then the changes aren’t going to happen because it’s a ‘dead game’. Like the mage projections, it smells like you’re too fixated on the complaint to actually thing this stuff through. Yea, ming gets suggestions for some changes to offset some low-skill stagnations, but you probably take pride in not reading enough around here to notice what gets posted about her.
Trouble being, people that take an aversion to information and experiences that don’t agree with their impulsive reaction tend to not do so well at dealing with things they don’t like either.
Tbh what it really sounds like is you guys don’t actually play the game at all, there is no presumptions on my part, i haven’t found anyone in the actual matches of the game who think li ming is fine or under powered. If anything I find a lot of players very vocal about Li-ming and how either how powerful or annoying she is. But typing six paragraphs out about how bad I am along my opinions doesn’t change the facts that how she is isn’t wanted in the game.
I hardly ever see a good li ming and generally it is easy to dodge her orbs or even eat/block the orb in order to protect ur teammate or a minion wave.
She has weak waveclear… anub/zagara/gazlowe/azmodan can make her orb totally useless by blocking with beetles and so on. A problem that jaina doesnt have for instance. If you compare with jaina… Jaina has the faster and more reliable waveclear, blizzard always hits no matter what is in between, jaina has a root on 16 which is isanely strong and dont forget the iceblock.
I tell you I win any 1v1 with jaina vs li ming, ofc water elementary makes it easier
She often is just a stats farmer… she can reach high damage numbers without having real impact
Because people would react more outwardly to something going wrong than somrthing going well or not going wrong. In a game, something wrong would be an overpowered hero so of course people would complain about her being “broken” Because why would people take the time to complain about a hero being “underpowered” In the middle of a match? No one complains about Illidan being underpowered in a match, but the moment he starts popping off and chasing people and getting kills, you start getting “Illidan OP” In chat. Its like if your car is doing well, you neber ask yourself “why is my car not having problems?” but the moment your car stops working, you immediately notice that. This is why negative complaints are disproportionately represented more because they “fossilize” Better simply due to the higher frequency of occurence.
Well it proves your opinions are wrong. And you’re entitled to that opinion, but know that its based on a knee jerk L2P reaction to something that is objectively fine. But if you enjoy being wrong by all means, ignore everything here and go post another whine post in Reddit.
You know being rude and disrespectful isn’t the way to debate. You guys aren’t getting my examples of how well she excels. Narrow paths where there is really no maneuverability you’re going to get hit hard by her, Getting cc’ed you’re going to get hit hard by her, being slowed you’re going to get hit, being in a team fight on the frontlines against their melee / tank, you’re gonna get hit, trying to chase her you’re gonna get hit or move to the side and lose her, a good li ming would who doesn’t use her teleport build should never die, dish out big damage, and turn the tide for her allies. A poor li ming which i guess a few people here experience a lot throw out wild shots and ruin your matches. If she’s so average / bad compared to everyone else why does she have a high pick rate?
I feel like the people who say Ming are overpowered are the same people who run into Naz’s lvl 20 toads after the toad and voodoo quests are complete or decide to stay in the Azmo orb marker.
Do you guys enjoy sticking with a specific meta and never have it changing? Do you pick like 3 characters in your roster and never deviate from them? Do you guys get high on the pride you have for playing ranked and looking down upon anyone who doesn’t do the same? Cause thats what i’m seeing here. Imagine trying to act like QM and ARAM players are crappy people for wanting quick and fun matches. Then saying ranked balance is the only balance that matters. Selfish, undesirable, disrespectful players not wanting to debate but outright insult and stay in their old ways. No wonder Blizzard abandoned this game after the “ranked” tournement players couldn’t cut it for their esport tournaments.
I’m not. It’s due to low population of the game, in QM, more skilled players get in the team with lower skilled players. This goes same for the enemy team as well. Now imagine the more skilled player playing Li-ming and farming the lower skilled player in the enemy. That can cause misconceptions. ARAM doesn’t have MMR so, basically same deal.
I just quoted you trying to insult me . Nerfing not op heroes is not ‘new way’.
Always the resort when some people can’t have their way. They think saying that will hurt the players’ feelings or something.
