I had a slight fondness for Tyrael just for of his aesthetic alone, the aspect of justice!
I never put much thought into his kit until I played alongside Imperius, and we just wrecked almost every single enemy team we fought.
With that, here’s my team comp idea.
Tyrael into an aggressive E build for brawling power + sustain
Imperius into either a Q or E build (maybe switch out with Thrall if you need damage > CC)
Kharazim into either Iron Fist or transcendence build for the AOE heals and damage
Stukov E build for the good AOE silence/damage, and healing power
Zarya for the shielding, dmg, and gravitron synergies
I think I have effectively come up with the HOTS Equivalent of GOATS comp.
Thoughts or ideas?
Arthas and Jaina keep slowing + rooting the ennemies. Raynor do perma more dmg to slowed ennemies with his lvl 1 talent. Fenix alway do his bonus dmg with his ulti. Rehgar for another melee presence, good hero overall, good ulti. Maybe Blood lust since two AA. Weakness would most likely be blind, though Jaina is still here for magic dmg.
Tank killer team:
Artanis, Diablo, Tychus, Malthael, Rehgar
Artanis swap anyone, even warrior. Go for E build with titan killer. Diablo CC the swap target, Tychus do his % dmg, same for Malth, same for Rehgar at lvl 16 talent. Weakness would be a support who can save a single target, like Uther or something
Leoric instead of Malthael, W build with march upgrade can delete teams late game. Malthaels slow damage wouldn’t be too much use against a flipped target whos gonna get killed. Need someone who can handle the other 4 members of the team that will still be there
You trap enemies on Graviton Bomb, and Chen performs a washing machine with wandering Keg while Jaina executes a nice Ring on Kharazim’ Seven Sided Strike. At lvl 20 it gets even funnier and overkill when Sonya can trap as many enemy heroes on the crater with Leap while Chen uses wandering keg in it to finish with a Graviton Bomb from Zarya and Ring + SSS.
What can I say more. If you pull this off you might just make it to the WTF moments.
The Global Deletion Team (aka, make Abathur regret his life choices):
Diablo - Apocalypse
Artanis - Purifier Beam
Nova - Precision Strike
Kel’thu-FREAKIN’-zad - Shadow Fissure
Morales - Medivac, if we can’t do it the easy way, we will all do it the hard way.
I would run it readily honestly, it sounds fun and great and includes a lot of heroes I love. Here are some more:
E.T.C.
Leoric
Illidan
Junkrat/Mage
Whitemane/Malf/Uther
Summary
Illidan freely engages on Ominous Wraith, it’s essentially 50 armor. Else he can W in to proc battered and W/Q out with lv4. Illidan engages tend to make people move predictably which favors the ranged AoE damage/CC threat on his team. If team dogpiles Illidan, ETC/Leo/mage/support have easy tools to both save and counterengage with AoE cc/damage; if team splits up to avoid damage from mage/Illidan then the frontline/conc. mine threatens isolation.
Zarya
D.va
Lt. Morales
Junkrat/Jaina/Greymane
Leoric/Uther/Auriel/Whitemane/Illidan
Summary
It’s the R20 draft from Blizzcon 2017 on WHJ minus the Li Li. Good luck killing anything versus this team, especially good luck taking a boss from them. And they will try to win on a boss push. God this comp is so much fun and Zarya+D.va have really great synergy together and work well with so many sustained-damage heroes or heroes with good engage. Shields and defense matrix making room for oppressive Feel the Heat value and loads of mech explosions while your damage invincibly tears it up hnnngggggggg
Samuro
Illidan
AoE mage/Junkrat
Whitemane/Malf/Uther
Diablo/Anub/Muradin/Johanna/E.T.C.
Summary
This works best on Cursed Hollow/Alterac Pass, and sometimes Sky Temple. You just want to make the frontliner as relevant to the enemy team/map/your backliner as possible. Then Samuro just splitpushes all day and globals into the fight (you can even do it pre-10). After 10 Illidan and Samuro both split in the same or different lanes and global into the fight when they receive a response, while tank/backline/support operate as a 3man attending to whatever current priority. My super-good-Illidan friend and I have snowballed so many crazy games with this duo. Hunt/swap onto a backliner from a clone is very savage. So is wasting peoples’ time chasing clones while Illidan/Sam kill their team
I would substitute Medivh, to provide vision for the rest of the ults. Then he can leyline them in place while the rest of the execution sentence gets locked and loaded
just, you know… in case you wanted to get them in a clump. or 100% land every ability from the leyline. I could see the mephisto ult making everything easier though
