Just enjoyed a blowout where enemy Whitemane healed for 267,000, Tyrael healed for 43,000, and Yrel healed for 19,000.
Meanwhile, friendly team is trying to get by with Alex turning in 77,000 healing.
Its is not just damage out of control. Healing is way to prevalent, and as Whitemane demonstrates, it is now getting really huge with the new hero designs.
Well it is hard to say by your example. Different healers require different skill sets and work better/worse on different maps with or against different compositions and so on.
Lili Is honestly the most noob friendly, brain dead and nearly do all support so I could kinda understand people having complaints about her being the Raynor or healers but honestly it is a fact that some healers are just better equip to get bloated healing stats/numbers post game than others.
While healing for the sake of the numbers is often not the best course of action, it can give the impression of that hero being “busted”. I always found the timing and prioritization of the heals count for more, often having better mana management and able to keep his/her team “healthy” (not full) during the full team fight or even multiple fights without having to hearth.
Why big all the time indeed! At least orphea is not excessive like alex, why all the females must have… oh wait… gameplay, nvm…
Well: Sustain and burst, whitemane is sustain and alex is burst, sustain should usually give better-looking numbers on the tab screen, dont mean they had more impact
And it have nothing to do with new vs old heroes: by your own example, tyrael healed a lotmore than yrel and tyrael has been here since day 1
I miss tripling enemy healer healing AND doubling their hero damage on release Ana.
Honestly, I’d say Alexstrasza is weak now. She’s been powercreeped on healing, and her design was very clunky to begin with. She’s like a worse version of the later iteration of Soraka in LoL, where she was unable to effectively heal herself OR deal damage, and paid greatly for healing others.
There is no context to those numbers you tossed out here.
If enemies are healing that amount of damage, what in the blue hell is going on with your team? Are you each poking a different target? Because I can assure you if you were focus firing on one, they would die before those heals can save them.
That’s why raw numbers don’t mean as much as people like to think. It’s all relative. Lucio can amass high healing done, because AoE and if the team is clumped a lot for teamfights or just topping off afterwards. Doesn’t mean he’s saving anybody from dying.
There is no hope of them ever successfully balancing heroes. While back they re-did all the healers. Oops, then it was too much, better nerf em. Wait 5 minutes, they’ll do somethin else goofy…
Li Li is new player friendly, and considering Malfurion no longer is, it’s fine to have an introductory support. Considering Li Li lacks any meaningful crowd control, and her healing ULT can interrupted by CC and requires smart positioning to get the most out of her trait. I can’t think of any reason to complain about her, other than I prefer not to have a Li Li on my team in HL.
I’ve seen the reverse of this, Whitemane can be shut down and Alex with the right team can put out just as insane healing numbers and damage too. I don’t think heals are the problem and you can’t really compare “heals” from Yreal and Tyrael to a main support.
If Alex can’t keep up with Whitemane’s healing it’s skill issue, not hero design.
I don’t know if it’s draft or not but Whitemane is a support who can’t be ignored, so counter her with cc and heal reduce! If you don’t do it, it’s your fault.
I used to pick Ana or Deckard against her and she can’t really heal more than 70k in a 20min long game when I heal ~130k simply because I use emerald/grenade and interrupt her w. She can’t do else than watching her team die.
And this is only a healer with utility. You can do the same thing with assassins and tanks even with combined utility, one applies heal reduce, the other cc.
Each healer has its own spot, based on the map, the team comp, and the enemy team’s comp but almost all actually do their job pretty well (as for every other role, some are more noob friendly than others).
The numbers thrown there aren’t worth anything since they’re completly out of context.
The healing output has gone far better after the last fix and, imho, is good as it is now. It was broken at the time of double healer comps.
I could show him several screen shots when I healed 100k++ more than the enemy healer and still lost. So what is the real proof of broken system? Being able to make such heal difference or that it doesn't matter bacause you can have 3 teammates with zero game knowledge who can't use this advantage to win.
OP just showed us how wide is the skill range in the same match, where a diamond player can play as a silver or as a master, and they compete with and against each other. Yeah, the game is broken, but not for the reason OP said.
The new desigh of some healers is bad. Why should i pick Alextraza healing when i can pick a hero with CC and point and click heals?
They are trying to be original
its not that healing is ridiculous. like with whitemane there. its that you dont have to worry about mana anymore. like with whitemane…
seriously on whitemane after level 4 you never run out of mana. NEVER. she may as well be manaless.
back in the older days of the game mana was a serious hinderance. it was there to remove you from combat. malf was actually really popular particularly for this reason because he could give mana to really hungry mages.
somewhere a long the line though a decision was made that its not fun to run out of mana all the time. which kind of screwed up the strategic purpose of running out of mana.
alexstrasza has better wave clear and overall better healing ults. also she has reliable front line healing where the most damage is likely to be taken. this is in contrast to whitemane who has to step up closer and root herself.
if the enemy has any dive and stuns whitemane can be seriously shutdown. whereas alex can just keep going.
Honestly, why did you create this thread?? What do you want to demonstrate? You just wrote some random numbers without any context. They are completely meaningless!!
Was it QM, UR or Ranked?
What was your comp and enemy comp?
Battleground?
How long was the game?
Talents? (77K healing done on Alex looks like she went E build, which is bad….)
Honestly, I think the mistake was on your side. 267K healing means their Whitemane HAD PLENTY OF time to heal for free, so you probably failed to focus enemy and just randomly spam abilities. It also looks like you didn’t even try to dodge her E.
