Event length is too long!

Why are the events so long? Halloween lasting 2 whole months? Toys 2 setting up to be almost 3 months? I would understand an Overwatch-esq time frame for events, (about 3 weeks), but months on end for the same thing? Gets kind of repetitive.

Because why not? They don’t have the manppower to get us brand new skins every 2 monthes and if we didn’t have lasting events that’s hwat people would grow to expect, also because with this in mind we no longer have down time between events which is good IMO

You sort of do have downtime between events, it just happens within an event that overstays and outlists its given holiday. 3-4 weeks is usually more than enough time to finish any holiday quests when played at a casual pace.

That’s why they give us repeat quests, are you saying you’re opposed to the repeat quests that let us get more loot? Cus I’m not

On the bright side, it does provide insight on when we possibly might see a new hero.

But they can keep the repeatable quests all year round, even if they dont have anything to do with a holiday or an event. Getting halloween themed loot in december isnt quite as appealing as getting it in the month of october. It would be nice if they made events that were more interactive with the playerbase and allowed you to show your allegiances to particular factions or allow you to farm rep for factions that allow you to get exclusive cosmetics.

This has got be the dumbest thing to complain about i’ve ever seen.
No offense, of course

I really enjoy the long events. I don’t have time to play during the holidays and this lets me make it up when I do have time and finish the event…it’s probably the one good thing that they have done with events in a while.

Why is this bad? No event and regular chests isn’t repetitive,?

People complaining of getting free promotional stuff for too long. Only in HotS

Gives you something to farm while you wait for the next one. I’m ok with it, at the same time, I hate how BORING they are.

and that’s bad for him… weird

I like the longer events because I don’t get to play very often.

You know, you don’t have to do the quests every day.

If the toy event is just like it was last year, no complaints here. It was so easy to farm and very generous.

Well we did have valid complains from people who had to travel away for work or had exams not being able to have fun with the previous events’.
Extending the duration for them seems fair.

Previous toys event was too much for me because almost infinite quests made me abuse vs AI too much but if it is one quest a day like scarlet heist it would be perfect for me ( i am from EU couldn’t test the event yet).

Before, there are always those that complain about the event ending just “a few days/hours/minutes/seconds/etc…” earlier than they expected. Now it’s your turn to complain about events being too long eh?

Anyway, there is a very simple solution for you: don’t like it? Just quit. No one is keeping.

They’re long because:

  • ppl will complain that they couldn’t finish cuz tHeY hAvE a LiFe
  • keeps ppl occupied
  • decreases the emptiness that the slowed down releases made

Still waiting for Hallow’s End or even Winterveil.

Not sure what the issue is. With how long it takes to earn chests via hero levelling it’s nice to have the events last long enough to earn more than a handful per season.
