That bug exists since Malthael’s release. It is somehow connected to Malt’s trait and that D.Va’s mech has only 1 hp.

I can’t repro it in Try Mode.

I did it at last.

A level difference + Throwing Shade.

I was also able to recreate it a yesterday after I saw the clip. (still not entirely sure what exact variables cause it, but I think the throwing shade % damage may be part of it)

It is, yes. Spazzo is on it. There might be other bugs related to it that would require a hotfix.

I’ve gotten it to work in try-mode with both Dva and Malthael at level 14. It also seems to be a requirement for Dva to have Full Metal and for Malthael to have Throwing Shade.

Following up, I’ve gotten it to work with Malthael at various levels, as long as Dva is level 14 it seems to be working for me.

No wonder I’ve never seen it before.
It’s so oddly specific.

Yeah, that’d make sense - percent damage is essentially damage that ignores what level you are, with the exception of the maximum amount of health it’ll factor in, which does scale by casters level
