Diablo has a worse winrate than Chen

I just thought it was humorous considering that he is usually second/third ban in 90% of ranked games at silver, gold, and plat.

Yeah it’s funny. TenTonHammer puts him in S tier as well. LuL

With a banrate as heavy as Diablo’s, it’s very possible that it affects his winrate. But the problem is that we have no “control group” to compare it to, so we don’t know if Diablo’s winrate would go up, down, or stay the same.

I made a sandwich and it tasted pretty good.

Diablo is going through the Genji phase.

You mean the existential crisis and brotherly conflict?

Sample size can change things…
Going back 9 weeks (last time Diablo or Chen had changes) his winrate is lower in Silver.

Well, technically also in Masters, but in the last 9 week Chen’s got 30 games in Masters, so I think it is safe to call that meaningless, Chen’s sample size way to small.

Which isn’t a massive surprise, given Diablo got a nerf despite performing fine. Meaning it takes more skill and understanding to play him well.

Diamond one does surprise me, but being worse in low leagues makes sense, and probably has near zero to do with actual balance of Diablo.

The typical arguement for cases like this is their pickrates are wildy different. So Diablo gets far more games played in total, which equates to more possibility of loses happening just due to number of matches.

While Chen is a very uncommon pick, and is only really used by players who can make the most out of him and in situations he’s typically best in. Thus increasing his winrate due to fewer games to compare to.

Its all about sample size.
