I started writing it before your response so I didn’t see it at first, now I read it.
thaat s what i thought so i mentioned it in my answer
I HAVE. lol.
It doesn’t work the way you guys and gals say it does, lol. Like; okay, sure if you want to doubt that’s fine but to doubt based on bad info you’re giving me? Yeah take a hike. That’s so annoying and obtuse.
Maye at end of season It’ll update…but given how wrong people have been about this as is…I wouldn’t hold my breath. It’s probably going to work like StarCraft II’s system.
It does work as people are saying it does. And I can show that. Read this:
where I said that I went to Silver 2 then back to Bronze 2 at the end of the season. Then look at this picture
You see it show Silver 2 and not Bronze 2.
Since you were OK to share your data, you can do that by:
- go in your profile
- statistics
- In the first filter: select the season where you were Diamond 1 (it should be Season 1 2021 since it was during the free hero event)
- in the second filter, select only Storm League
If you click on your ingame profile pic, the stats UI is brought up. If you go to the Statistics tab, you can see your most important stats. On its top right corner, there are the filters. Use the “2021 Season 1” and “Storm League” filters, because that’s the season that had All-Free-Heroes. If you did not play SL during that time period, you could not at all fall due to that long gone event. Than filter “This Season”, and it shows your current rank, with your winrate and match count, which gives us context to guess you could be high ranked.
BUT! You can only start high if you had a rank in a previous season, otherwise low Gold is the highest you could be in your first season. That’s why search for your previous seasons to see from where did you fall.
After this season ends (soon), you can show this season’s highest rank as well, ebcause all the past seasons show the highest.
There, I can’t say this in a more simple way.
No, it doesn’t work like you say it does. Literally. Tried it yesterday and I’m done following bad advice; 3/4 of you have no clue what you’re talking about.
If it shows; it’ll show at the end of season…but given how objectively wrong ya’ll have been about this subject…not going to hold my breath. It’s much more likely that it’ll do what SC2 does and show highest achieved league at the end of a season.
OK. I just showed you that it works but OK…
Dude, no, you’re wrong. It doesn’t work that way. That shows my current rank. I’m done, none of you know what you’re talking about.
I just checked my last seasons rank, and it showed the highest I had gotten (plat 4, though I ended at gold 3). That is exactly how it works when you select Storm League on the right filter then a season on the left one.
So it works like Mamekan said…
This comes off as trolling by OP now…
Anyone could post that screenshot within a minute if they wanted to.
We are not talking about the current but past season. But it should not bother you this season since the threas is about how the free hero event caused you to go down from Diamond 1 to Bronze 5. It has to be some past season. But if you are not willing to read what people explain how to obtain the correct result, then OK. Because you are the only one for who this does not work oO.
I suspect we just waste our time guys.
Yeah we got ja-bated lol xD
Or somehow Dank doesn’t know how the filters work on the statistics page. By default it’s on (Lifetime) which doesn’t show your rank until you click on the the drop down and click on (This season) But there are other options under (This season) you can click on that show highest rank achieved in past seasons.
The only thing I can think of is that OP’s highest rank in past seasons are B5 so no matter how he filters it, it will always say B5 and that is why it’ seems like it’s not working right for him.
I could have draw hands instead reading all that Bull-s.
By the way wasn’t there a free hero event late 2019 or 2020?
I do see a problem, as it is actually physically impossible for the “all heroes are free to play” event to have affected this season, since it ended 2 months before the season even started.
I thought the exact same thing.
I instantly thought that the OP (not saying they are a bad player at all) but when you have team synergy, you will excel at most games.
Then if you play solo, you will kind of see your true rank cause you need to change your mindset on how to play with randoms. It’s a whole different world and game.
Does the OP belong in Bronze 5? Possibly not as we all know RNG with solo players can either excel you or hinder you.
But what I can say is that, I am purely a solo player and for 4+ years I have been lingering around Gold 5 to Diamond 3. If I created a new account, who knows where I land.
But I think where the OP should realise that solo is a whole different world and need to change their way of playing.
except they do, and ‘proof’ was posted for it.
It is possible that the display bugs and only shows a particular season – if people looked at my profile, all post leagues can list ‘placement’ despite having seasons with more than 10 games.
Part of the issue people have been scrutinizing with your attitude is you revolve around this “I am right” mindset that spirals down into showcasing how much you don’t know, don’t observe, and therefore do not react toward in influencing what you’re doing in this topic, and also likely in your games.
When people don’t know to look for something, they don’t.
When people feel they’re already ‘right’ they stop looking for variations that frustrate that claim.
When people look round for things to blame, they tend to neglect self-awareness and don’t notice all the little things they could/should/would for influencing more than they think they can.
It is a loop of conduct where people convince themselves to stop doing something, and then surmise that that is, somehow, magically all that they really could have done, so “anything” else must be the ‘problem’. That rationalization precludes them from doing the stuff that prevents them from adjusting to the game accordingly, and since they’ve convinced themselves not to notice things that don’t satisfy their loop, they don’t even notice that they are doing this loop and learn to… not do it.
Actually, they don’t. DankTemplar is right on that count. The current season only displays your current rank, not the highest rank you have attained. This means that if this is the only season they have ever played ranked, they cannot show what their highest rank has been. However, that does mean that the f2p heroes cannot have affected any of their ranked games, as has been pointed out several times.
The reason it would still be helpful to post a screen shot is that it would show their win/loss ratio, which would support their claim they fell so far in a single season.
You are right for the current season but he listed the free to play event as a « variable » even after he said that he felt from Diamond 1 to Bronze 5 in the current season and after you told him it is impossible.
Edit : so either he is lying or either he is wrong about the free to play hero event being the cause and he doesn’t want to admit that. In both cases, it is a bad behavior.
Karabars spelled out the particulars, so an ‘all inclusive’ [you all] don’t know’ is incorrect.
