Im starting this thread to enlighten a problem with communication between players who speak with different alphabets on the EU server.
The Roman alphabet is widely used in most of Europe and mostly used on the EU servers. Even though you speak different languages you can somewhat understand some phrases and communicate. There are some words that are universal or similarly written throughout EU.
But when the Cyrillic alphabet is used in game, it is often met by anger and frustration. Probably because other players/teamplayers cant understand and in most of these cases the one writing in Cyrilic alphabet can actually speak english on a base level.
I´ve often been met by a “%&@# you” when I´ve asked them politely to use the english language due to the masses of players who can communicate in english as a second language.
Im not saying every Slav is meeting me with a unpleasent phrase, but it happens way to often. I think a easy way to solve this is to remove all unused symbols/letters from other languages then the ones used in the most spoken language on the server(English).
Another way to solve the arguing- and report problems is to create a separate server for Slavic speaking countries, even though it costs more than to write a code. They are after all the largest ethno-linguistic group in Europe.
