Just played as garrosh vs qhira wooo boii rekt her that game! Every time she got done swinging bam threw her into my team and ded.
If you are going to parry alot, overpower gives a nice burst. Basically, quest when against mages, overpower against AA.
Thanks for making this thread Karabars! There’s a lot of Qhira hate going around. People struggling to adapt calling for harsh nerfs. Post like this should help people understand how to deal with Qhira so that we might avoid seeing her nerfed too hard unjustly.
I mean, Insight Kharazim is literally one of the best duelists in the game, so I’d be more surprised if you lost to her in a 1v1…
Ok, I made a lot of annoying hard testing and Ana, Tyrande and Brighrwing can’t Cleanse it, because their “purifier” is not a “true cleanse” and Qhira’s tether is not a stun or similar effect and what made me think that the enemy Ana cleansed me off was just some weird bugs with destroyed forts.
To be fair, I think that her damage output is a bit too high so I reckon that will/should be scaled down.
I think the problem is the W quest. Reducing the bonus damage below 50% hp should reign it in enough. Other than that one thing, I think she’s in a solid state.
For some reason however it does cancel channeled abilities. I have had lurking arm and defense matrix cancelled by it.

The discussion about her E is rather what it is, and what removes it.
Because this, doesnt really make any sense. Not saying Karabars is wrong, just saying that some of those abilities should remove tether with Cleanse removes tether. Cleanse is just a name of a talent in the end.
Well that’s pretty annoying.
What makes me wonder if its bugged or not. Its not exactly inconsistency if Blizz wants it to work like that, but the fact alone we are (still) having this discussion means there is some problem with this ability - description or what not.
Zags Maw for example breaks 2 of the regular stasis rules, intentionally, but its obvious (normally you dont take damage during stasis and it can be prevented with Unstoppable).
It starts and ends with stun. But!
You can remove the stun (and maybe you can remove the tether as well if you could “purify” just in the stun’s moment), but the tether stays if you use a talent that doesn’t grant unstoppable just “purifies” certain CCs if the only active effect is the tether.
Tbh, for the first time ever, it would be best if Blizz made some post explaining this. We definitely shouldnt have such a long discussion about it. It doesnt help Math of The Storm is AFK D: (or struggling with E lol).
Btw, comparing it to other abilities, Invulnerability, Stasis and stuff like Tychus ult or Alex trait should remove tether. Apparently there is more and its hella confusing.
As it seems to not be mentioned yet, Brightwing can annoy her pretty hard with polymorh + silence or stasis.
Qhira as the most complete set of all hots, i mean :
A dash, a grab/stasis/stun a push back a poison an heal and can do ranged and no ranged dmg. The only two things she has not is invisibility and teleportation. She needs nobody to wins 1v3 or escape it.
I don’t say “plz nerf” because a know developpers will nerf it in few days but plz don’t do a “perferct fighter” with complete set/no weakness again because it deserv your community so it deserv the game.

Update: Added list of “who can remove the tether from who”
I tested some with @Narha, and Medivh’s portal breaks the tether but only when it’s length is close to its maximum.
So Medivhs can choose to either take Qhira home, or free themselves or their allies from the tether.
I played Valeera today against Qhira. That was fun (for me, not her). I told my team in advance that I would go CC since we had enough damage. They were okay with it.
Wound poison reduces her heals by a lot with almost 30 % uptime. Silence lets her not get out once she jumped someone. Cloak of shadows removes tether.
Good times.
I also found that while it’s good to remove tether while she is in our team, it’s even more fun to break it while she is behind terrain, making the fight immediately 5v4 while she has to stroll around the walls to join her team. Bonus points for dropping her next to own fort / keep.
I’ve been having a lot of fun taking High Five (Lúcio ult) against Qhira. 1s unstoppable on a 15s per ally cooldown shuts her E down completely and with a bit of timing lands her in a bad position every time.
The only character she can still “safely” E is Lúcio himself, and with his amped speed boost to get back to base quickly that can be dangerous, too.
