You have completely destroyed Chogall. The great thing about Cho Gall was the unique gameplay,he was already challenging to play with necessary synergy that promoted teamwork, and hard to play with having 1 less champ for map presence. The nerfs have made him completely unviable to play…even more than it had before, which was difficult in itself because of the previous mentioned issues. I know you dont care about Heroes anymore based on completely alienating the whole community with the abrupt cancellation of Esports, but putting the screws to the casual gamer is really over the top. I know I am biased being a avid cho gall player, but this is unfair and ridiculous. I have been a huge Blizzard supporter since warcraft…yes the original (works done). You guys were the best. Where has my premier game company gone??
I agree, blizzard you need to up your game and that cho, gall nerf was bad…
0/10. “champ”, At least make an effort.
what do you mean 0/10 champ “atleast make an effort” talking to me him or blizzard?
“alienating the Whole Community”? No offense but speak for yourself on that one. A lot of us wanted nothing to do with the Esports scene… They were they reason a lot of heroes got unnecessary reworks and nerfs…and the lane changes. Good riddance to Esports. I agree there was 0 reason to mess with Cho Gall… bad enough they turned his Z into a petty dash… They could have put that energy into having a MM for Cho Gall players who want to play but don’t want to beg random players to play the head they don’t like using EVERY time they want to play Cho Gall. The Esports Hype was the nail in the coffin for this game. It is still very much playable without that Esports BS (It was doing fine without it before) but now people are angry and many people left and not so many are picking this game up. The elitist wanna be Esports players didn’t help either raging at people as if their every match had a sponsorship deal on the line and causing players to quit.
Btw your “Premier Game” died long ago when all of our favorite games creators left and we were stuck with Shareholder/Corporate shills.
Was there a nerf or is this old news?
The unstoppable component was removed from his Q old talent at lvl 16 it made him weaker.
I didn’t realise people actually played Cho’Gall…
Your right…not everyone is into the esports. I was trying to make a point about how it was handled, and the overall feel that Blizzard has taken a different direction in how it goes about it business. Whether its true or not, the public perception of Blizzard is not good right now. The community is blaming Activision but Activision merged with Blizzard almost a decade ago…and this negative feeling has been a fairly recent phenomenon. The Fortnite effect has clearly had an impact in decision making…but if Blizzard is not careful, they are going to turn into Olive Garden (change what they are great at because they think that will allow them to better compete). The problem is if I want cheap, crappy Italian food, Ill go to Fazoli’s. I went to Olive Garden because I wantes good Italian food. It might have only been once a month, but now I dont go at all. Blizzard was the greatest…now they are just merely good to average. I understand a companies whole purpose for existing is too make money. I dont blame them for that like many other people seem too…which is stupid. I know my original post was about the Cho Gall nerf…and this is a completely different topic. Sp to get back to the reason I started this thread to begin woth, Im just really upset that I used to love playing Heroes…specifically Cho Gall with my brother, and now it just makes me mad and frustrated because the champ is a shell of it former self…and not nearly as fun to play. For what reason? The patch notes said something about he being too strong in high competitve play…well there is no more esports, so what is the reason now? Ranked play? As another post above stated…I didnt know people played Cho Gall. That says it all. I can tell you that having played Cho Gall for roughly 300 games, he was always hard to win with…but now its so difficult, its just not any fun. Not many people play him, so I know Blizzard doesnt care (they moved a bunch of devs off the game, so Heroes in general is a low priority). And like my brother said, its not going to change anything. Maybe some other people love the changes to Cho Gall…Im certainly the epitome of the casual player and do not pretend to be great. I just more or less felt the need to vent my frustration in a last ditch effort to get my Cho Gall back. The cho gall nerf was bad for Cho Gall players…but we were such a small percentage of the total community its a non priority. He was such a unique and innovative character…the kind of creativity that would only come from Blizzard. Sour grapes on my part I guess. Farewell Heroes of the Storm…it was fun while it lasted.
What? I couldn’t hear you past that giant wall.
Maybe if there were some spaces to let your thoughts break through…
Sorry, but stopped reading right here
Heck at least you have someone to play Choice Gall with lol I envy you.
Wasn’t that done ages ago?
To sum up:
Cho Gal nerf BAD, other people off topic!
No word on which part of CG’s changes have them upset, a casual glance indicates he was actually buffed a bit.
Ok lol but this comparison between olive garden and blizzard deserves an award for the biggest reach I’ve ever seen. Also Olive Garden has always been meh Italian food that gets the job done. Go to Macaroni Grill if you insist on spending your money at a chain Italian restaurant.
If you’re going to complain about a hero, at least explain what the changes were and how they affected the hero. Can anything be done to address the issue? Do you have any suggestions? Flaming won’t get you anywhere, sweetie. You just look silly.
Maybe I am silly. Actually, I know that I am. But you are wrong about the Olive Garden – Blizzard comparison…its actually very close to what is happening. As for your comment about the changes…its very, very, very simple. CHANGE CHO GALL BACK TO THE WAY HE WAS. Reward stacking of the bomb without a cap so he has late game viability…as he is already innately gimped by the fundamental issue of 4 vs 5. Give more reason to pick other talents other than moving existing “defense” talents up a tier. For example, it doesn’t help to have stasis as a level 13 talent and runic blast a level a 16…stasis is only viable in teamfights…when else would you use it? Runic blast helps get stacks on the bomb which allows Cho Gall the ability to catch up after losing early-mid game from poor play from teammates who do not know how to play with a Cho Gallcentric team or a bad map matchup. Runic Blast at level 16 is too late to matter. Its a 4-5 for 10 minutes at that point. What is the reason for severely gimping Cho Gall’s late game potential? That is the real issue. A 4-5 is not going to win a early or mid game more than 50% of the time…which means you going to lose more often than win…that is not fun. Who wants to play a champ that loses more often than winning??? Pre-Nerf Cho Gall at least had the opportunity to come back late game with good coordination from your gall… Which is what made him fun. Have you even played Cho Gall? Or are you just flaming me, which is funny because you called me out for flaming? Why don’t YOU explain why why the nerf’s are warranted, instead of making a point that Macaroni Grill is better than Olive Garden. Which I agree it is…because they provide better quality. You also pay 3 times more. But Im ok with that, because I know that before I make the decision to eat there. Just like I am fine paying 50 dollars per Hearthstone expansion…because its a good product. Sweetie.
Holy hell this wall of text hurts more than infinite scalling bomb.
Why does it makes no sense to have a defensive tier at 13 instead and having powerspike at 16 like most other heroes?
So, Cho’Gall’s previously build of “Go bomb and hope the enemy team are dumb!@#$s who clump up so you can get 200 stacks” got nerfed. It wasn’t the end of the world, since it basically meant that you stomped dumb!@#$s. Against teams that knew how to dodge bombs? It wasn’t that big a deal, since in those cases getting 20 stacks would take some time, and 40 stacks was probably the max you could get.
Now, the HP nerf that Cho got that was partially reverted? That hurt Cho’Gall more then anything. Needs to be fully reverted imo, if not buffing his health a bit more.
Keep in mind that Cho’Gall can still deal an incredible amount of damage, and a solid amount of poke. Cho’Gall still has several great Ults (Although the nerf to his Hammer-Runed Gauntlet combo for 5 second Hammer CDs kinda hurt), and he can still be tanky as !@#$ with a proper healer behind him, providing you don’t just eat ALL the %life effects that the enemy team will stack against you.
It’s just that the damage now requires you to commit as Cho’Gall, rather then staying back and using Bomb every 2 seconds and killing the entire enemy team in 3 bomb blasts with your 100+ stacks because those dumb !@#$ers don’t know how to move out of the way, and dealing as much damage as all 9 other heroes combined in that game as Gall. (Seriously, the most stompiest game I ever had as Gall had me finishing the game with 120k damage, over 200 stacks resulting in each bomb nearly one-shotting squishies and two-shotting tanks, huge lvl lead, and every other hero had like 10-20k damage each)
I still dont understand this thread. On the 27 feb he got a whole heap of buffs. The most important ones were his health buffs and that cho got his defensive talents moved from 16 to 13.
The buffs didn’t change much. His health at level 1 is still low, considering it’s two heroes in one. Bomb needs to have it’s nerfs reverted and an uncapped Bomb’s Away made baseline.
Orb talents are still not worth picking ever since they nerfed the radius of the orb during the rework.
