- No leaver status
- And at least be lvl 50

You can’t have unplaced players in a party of placed ranked players as of last patch in Storm League.
(This is also erroneously applying to Unranked draft which should be fixed any day now)

But it allows a very high ranked person to play their 3 placements with bronzes and get a free ride back to his old rank or higher, since unplaced players had no effect on the match MMR. That was problematic. That change was probably for the better.

many ppl dont like being matched up with ppl still in placements after they themselves already placed. i mean it can actually be a big deal psychologically to your team. with the way it use to match mixed ranked+placements it was not at all uncommon for ppl to start off on a negative just because they saw someone in placements on their team and they knew that person might be several ranks lower.
the other part to this is the big change to 3 game placements from 10 games. now your placements shouldnt take you very long to complete at all. just get the 3 games out of the way vs in the past where 10 games would take a substantial amount of time. in terms of time spent on average it works out to something like: 3 games ( about 1 hour) vs 10 games (about 3 hours).
you can get matched vs placed player’s as an unranked player too? like there’s no difference there between allowing a player that didn’t do their placements play with friend’s who did their placements cause either way you won’t be in a match with and vs player’s who didn’t do their placements that’s why this makes no sense right there about not allowing unranked player to play with ranked player.
