Tried reinstalling, clearing cache, flushing DNS, renewing IP, removing VPN, scan/repair, checking updates and anything else from forums from the last 3 years but still nothing. Any help would be appreciated.
I had that sometimes, I had to wait ~5 minutes doing nothing in the QM character selection screen, then it said āstreaming game dataā in the upper right corner and downloaded a bunch of extra stuff.
After which the āunlocking availableā text went away and the Ready button appeared.
Just left it on for the last hour but nothing still.
Thatās awful. I know your pain having dealt with plenty of these issues over the years, being unable to play even after a reinstall.
Did you try temporarily allowing all traffic in the firewall and launching client again after that?
Does the disk drive on which HotS is installed have free space?
Yes the drive thats HotS is on has about 40gb of free space. Just tried allowing traffic with the firewall but still the same issue.

I also remember running the client in admin mode, and also enabling admin mode in HeroesSwitcher_x64.exe.
āUnlocking temporarily unavailableā can apparently also happen if you use Wifi instead of a cable connection.
Failing even that, it could be an ISP problem (service providers fault).
I ran HeroesSwitcher_x64.exe as admin and after a few mins it updated and worked. Thank you so much for the help
