In my oppinion its not rewarding. I was solo queueing as a Masters.
This game was terrible, the Ana coudnt aim, nobody of the enemy knew what soaking was. I had a Leoric and Falstad in the enemy team.
AND ITS FREAKING MASTERS (for me) I should not have double healing as Uther.
Its not because I was better, no at this level you should face people who knew what they are doing (ana was lvl 22) a diamond player needs to know what he is doing
Know the basics
Leoric: Double soak
Falstad, provide global assistence
Ana hit targets, dont run away with your D on lock so you move slower
Varian: you actually did good
Qhira: Attack isolated targets
How can a game be really difficult and competitive and have peanuts at the same placement, I asked all their team, do you solo queue or team with a group. 2 of them say solo queue.
I honestly think Diamond is too easy too reach, you just waveclear during the nonstop fighting and boom! diamond 5
Matchup + rankings
My team had 1 master ( me)
4 diamond players between dia 5 and dia 2
Still better than players tilting in a match, then AFK’ing in that match, and then start a new game and being AFK from the start … for 3 games in a row on ranked!
Even so, I admit that I would expect masters to play better than what you describe since that is literally gold play.
Some are really good and im having the most intense matches and others you just hit a gold person.
But thats what I want I want to scale up the difficulty that gold has a good reputation again
That could be due to lag. Maybe they were not expecting as much lag as they had when they started the match. Aiming with Ana against noobs at 50 ms latency is very hard, let alone at 150 ms latency against master players. Due to their high APM trying to predict where they will go is nearly as hard as against Elite AI.
Unless you have an ultra latency optimized setup, low latency mouse, live close to the server and are physically small so your reaction time is ultra fast, Ana is near impossible to play well as a general purpose healer.
She works if your allies understand her. For example they coordinate standing still so that you can hit them with heals, or select huge characters with large hitboxes for you to hit like Diablo, Azmodan and Kael. She does not work at all well if your allies love tiny hyper agile heroes like Tracer, Genji, Illidan and Valla.
It may be that they are good at one role, but not another? Level 22 doesn’t really mean much, especially if you just aren’t good at healing. It could be that no one else on their team stepped up to do so, and that left the Ana to do what they could.
I mean, it can be argued that by the time you reach Masters, you should be at least competent at all roles, but the honest truth is that a lot of people aren’t.
1) sleep 2 or more targets expecting your team to attack them but they just stare at them.
2) during retreat sleeping targets so you can mount up but your smart teammate pokes them and wakes them up so there goes your chance to mount up and you’re dead.
3) …
how to facepalm while playing alexstrasza
1) uses the circle to heal your teammates but they just walk past it with no health die then ping you nonstop
2) using dragon form during the fight but instead of your team fight with you on dragon form they run away and leave you behind.
