Can someone explain the MM

4 stack: Gold 2, 3, 5, Silver 4 with a Silver 3 vs a 2 man; Plat 2, Plat 3 with a Gold 2, Gold 5 and Silver 4.

We lost ANDDDDD -222 for loss hmmmmm. Even considering they are heavily favoured it’s only a 4 stack vs 2 stack. This don’t make sense to me.

So Team1:

This is a 4 stack+1rando.

Team2:

This has a duo and 3 randos.

Team1 has mmr disadvantage due to party size. Parties are matched against higher mmr ppl for fairness.
That’s why Team 2 has Plats and fewer Silvers.

You didn’t specify which team you were.
The usual gain/loss is 200 points. The extra 22 loss indicates that this was not the first lose, and that your team probably was the favoured one (the one expected to win).

Duo* + 3 randos

I was team 1. Even though we were a 4 stack vs 2 stack they have a serious MMR advantage. I’ve never seen it this high before. Normally when that happens we actually lose less points.

Obvious typo :'D

Blizzard does not understand matchmaking. The group with the plat 2 and silver 4 should have all been treated as they were plat 2. This is the prime formula for boosting in this game and its absurd.
