I accidentally pressed L one game as Zarya, and then when I pressed L to fix it, the game just kept telling me “Camera Follow Enabled” again, and refused to disable it.
Going into the options, I set Camera Follow off manually, clicked accept, and it’d still be on, to the point that when I reopened options it still was checked (and unchecking it again just repeated the same experience). Since then, EVERY game I have played has been stuck in Camera Follow mode, despite me hating the mode, and having every desire to disable it. I keep getting called an idiot for not knowing how to disable it, despite the fact disabling it is simply not working.

This has happened to me 2-3 times, especially when playing Abathur or Vikings. I press L and the camera lock wont go away after it suddenly locks. I keep pressing L and it just says ‘camera lock enabled’ over and over.
Same thing with sound and music, sometimes when you try to disable or enable, it only says “enabled” no matter how many times you press ctrl+S or ctrl+M.
They are some of the oldest bugs in hots for sure.
The only way I found to resolve these issues is to restart the client. There seems to be no other way.

There’s no workaround or a permanent solution for this and it sometimes just happens on its own. Not limited to camera lock but other elements of the game menu as well such as subtitles, music etc. Best you can do is restart the game several times until it just clicks and continues working properly.
This is in no way a consistent problem but it’s a very old bug that can’t be narrowed down.
