Buff, Nerf, Tweak, Rework, or Fine?

Let’s play a little forum game. I’ll name a hero and someone will respond with whether that hero needs a buff, nerf, tweak, rework, or if they’re fine.

For context:

Buff: This refers to a numbers buff only. I means you believe their talents and abilities are fine as they are, but their a little weak in the numbers department. Damage, attack speed, attack/ability range, cooldown, health, etc etc.

Nerf: Just the reverse of buff. You think the talents and abilities are fine as they are, but a bit too strong in the numbers department.

Tweak: You feel this character needs some change in the talents or numbers department, but don’t feel the need for anything drastic, particularly touching baseline abilities. ‘berfs’ (a mixture of a buff and a nerf) count under this category too.

Rework: This character needs a drastic change in both talents and abilities. We’re talking about changing some baseline abilities and completely moving around their talent tree (by means of either destroying, adding, or moving around any talents).

Fine: The character is completely fine as they are in the game. Absolutely zero changes necessary.

Now you can discuss why you want these changes or not. However, let’s not rebuttal to anyone, merely answer the hero suggested. Once your answer has been made, leave a NEW hero at the bottom for someone else to answer to.

First hero (picking from the list completely at random using a randomizer site)… Anub’arak

Fine. After the last changes he doesn’t feel OP anymore.

Yrel.

Ooooh… I wanna say… tweak?

I’m not a Yrel main, but I think the central problem is that they initially advertised Yrel as a main tank when her primary weakness was CC. Her talents feel a little all over the place with little synergy between them, and there’s a lot of outshined talents for her.

Maybe a tweak in hp so he’s more beefy. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Tweak/ mini rework
He don’t really have a good talents diversity.

Fine

He’s got solid survivability wave clear and can win a lot of duels maybe someone in higher tiers could tell me he needs minor buffs or nerfs but from my perspective he seems solid without being oppressive

Fine
I like his current state. He is very opressive on large maps but struggles on small.

Tiny Tweaks (very tiny)

I just think there are a handful of talents that need to be bufed to be considerable in comparison (the big one being the D talent on Sixteen compared to the other 2)
It’s not so much a thing about his power in comparison to everyone else just a bit of talent diversity tweaking for the player.

Hey ! Don’t ignore Zagara, the best mother of the swarm ! >.<

Tweak. Just some minor adjustments.

I’d say fine.

Tweak.

Mainly to his trait. Either you go in a fight with full essence and basically have another life, or you go into a fight with no essence and die.

Maybe a bit more. Tweaking his essence income - It feels like too much of his essence income comes from talents rather then baseline kit.
Tweaking his W build - Currently too synergistic, as it provides everything - Toughness, mobility, AND damage. Would move his Q talents around so he can take one each tier for a very powerful Q that basically shuts down targets extremely well, and maybe add essence generation to Q build.

Valla - tweaks

HA build is good
MS build is meh all around
AA build comes online way to late to be relevant.

I have a hybrid build i like to play that takes Q at 1 and 7 and AA for the rest (13 variable), it works well for me but still feels … meh.

Nova - Fine in the hands of a competent player.

Butcher.

Butcher-I would say fine. If you play him smart you can absolutely stomp especially with lamb to the slaughter upgrade at level 20. He kinda relies on a premade comp to set him up but that’s just how it is for some heroes.

Uther.

Fine.
He has mana issue in the early game and he can’t top off some1 because the long cd on his healing. However, his weaknesses is just compensation for his strengths. Uther is fine when he is drafted properly.

Fine.
He wasn’t the tank/bruiser he was at launch doing both better than anyone else.

Tweak.
He still feels a bit limp as a main tank, and his offlaning has been nerfed repeatedly with not much compensation. It might be a good idea to do away with his piercing AA and give him some actual damage, although that is a big flavour hit.

Buff.
HP. Cho doesn’t feel as tanky as his form indicates. And buffing HP not damage/abilities is the best way to make him better without making him OP like before.

Nazeebo

Tweak
Some of his talents are down right inaffective in many cases.
Overall, he’s not too bad I think.
