hes underwhelming af, the disappointing E ability that deals 80 damage (LMAO) at high level, the little stun it gives, the fact that he has no control over himself once he aims it. the miniscule damage he deals unless everyone just stands in his oil which never happens. the fact he has to use 2 abilites before he even deals any damage at all… hes a pathetic hero
Ahem… You mean Chen.
Just revert his mana nerfs, or at least roll the nerf to Neural Stimpack back. I get that some people thought he was too good in the solo-lane, but you’ve made him useless in teamfights due to always being out of mana.
I think, no, I’m sure, that 1.25 seconds of stun is big enough, looking for Uther’s E for 0.75 sec, Mal’Ganis 0.75 on THIRD Q strike, Abubarak’s Q for 1 sec, Garrosh’s Q for0.5 sec., Johanna’s W 0.25 sec. It’s like E.T.C.'s Q, but longer and you can’t go throw enemies.
So I’m not suprised that his E does so little dmg.
Blaze is really good. If you look at his raw stats and compare him with other tanks he’s superior in a lot of ways. What youre cherry picking are his defined, intended weaknesses. Igniting oil is there to heal blaze more than it is to deal damage.
You’re laughing at Es damage? Its job is mobility and stun. Muradin’s dwarf toss damage is negligible yet the spell is still great for some strange reason.
Imo, blaze’s biggest downfall is that he’s drafted incorrectly. The pros say he’s good at solo laning and as the loyal flock that we are have followed along. What we find in our games is that by drafting blaze alongside a “real” tank, our overall team damage suffers too much.
Currently in hero league (according to hotslog), blaze is at a 44.5% win rate which is one of the lowest in the game.
Remove the drating element of the game to find that in Quick Match he has a 48.7%. This win rate rivals that of ETC and even better than diablo.
I know there are a lot of flaws to that arguement, one being Hotslog inaccuracy, another being QM variation and thirdly, win rates arent everything.
However in QM, blaze would typically be pitted against another warrior so he would take on the role of a main tank. I hope that a 4% difference in win rate between drafing and non drafting modes tells some sort of story.
Notparadox did a youtube vid on his prediction of blaze becoming a main tank. Frankly, it’s no surprise…that’s what he was designed to do.
Id be all for blaze buffs, but in reality he’s better than you think. It’s us as a player base that’s letting blaze down.
I think blaze can be amazing when you have someone to follow up on his aeo stun, that’s the catch. While for example Diablo goes well with some hero that can deliver much damage in short time on a single target, blaze goes better with aeo damage in his team.
People need to try to stop complaining about a hero after only a few tries. Blaze is one of my main warriors. He doesn’t need a buff nor a nerf in my opinion.
Watch Notparadox’s Youtube vid on blaze, just uploaded 4 days ago.
The key takeaway from that video for people who want to play Blaze is for heaven’s sake, stop lighting your oil on fire the second you drop it. Yes, W+Q can be used for poke and wave clear, but spamming those two abilities non-stop means you are definitely not getting the best use out of him. It will run you out of mana, without accomplishing much of anything. Save lighting it for when you need sustain, and use unlighted oil for a peel, a gap closer, or a zoning tool.
i understand what ure all saying but pressing E and having this big windup animation and then this superhero charge with this huge impactful explosion noise and then dealing 80 damage just feels absolutely terrible for me. id be happy if they lowered the stun amount of it and buffed the damage a bit. then added some extra damage to his E in talents down the line. thats just how i want to feel playing blaze. i understand if yall enjoy tickling people and only seeing him as being useful for the CC
Blaze has sustain, cc, mobility, range, aoe, tank hp, and huge heroics.
Does not need a buff.
Blaze winrate has been about the same as chen for quite some time now. Pretty sure he needs a buff. Yea he is a great hero… at pro level where the bunker is op AF and he’s an unkillable solo laner, but that’s about it
“Run out of mana quickly” That criticism is more your lack of mana management not the character itself.
Lol you have an uther portrait. You are the ultimate expert on mana management.
Doesn’t mean he doesn’t have mana issues though
I agree, Blaze is in a bad shape.
Mana management is a skill on itself. Trying to burn and forcing your opponent to use as much mana as possible is part of tactical strategy on solo laning. So yes dominating those globes on early lane phase is important on all lanes. I play KT, Jaina and Li Ming too. I know a bad mage when they have to hearth twice even before the first objective spawn.
