itâs probably be better if they just make an outright âexpansion packâ with several pve mission/events and have something new to sell for the game.
Have the previohs co-op events and turn the Gravekeeper and Ravenlord spat into a set if missions; turn Orpheaâs comics into some co-op missions, etc etc
This is a solid idea, I think they would make their money back on it, the PVE brawls were very popular when they were in rotation and are frequently requested to be returned to current rotation. Compared to other avenues for game maintenance, expansion or monetization, this should be cost effective as it requires updating some buggy interactions with the PVP maps with new and reworked heroes, while not requiring much work elsewhere as these are existing assets.
One thing that could make this less problematic is the fact that they can limit the hero pool to avoid some of the buggy interactions. I remember they had a fixed roster you could choose from, so if Deathwing just doesnât work, they can simply leave him out.
Just until you que up for the hc mode. Then people would start to flame each other. But my fav was the chromie brawl. It felt like playing dodge ball in the old times in school. And no I was no king of dodge ball
Honestly, I liked all the unique brawls, PvP or PvE, even the Lunar New Year one that mimicked Mario Kart. My friends and I would queue for that and spend more time trying to sabotage each other than actually winning the race!
The Escape from Braxis and the sequel (I forget the name) never seemed that challenging to me, but mostly because I also do the harder PvE content in WoW. Once you learn a dungeonâs mechanics and which classes (heroes) do well, it isnât that bad. Yes, there were a few times I queued solo and had team mates who were completely unaware of how PvE works, but that was also fun in its own way, trying to teach them how to deal with mechanics.
It also helped that certain heroes were just designed to thrive in that environment, such as Winblades Varian with Protected, by the way.
I feel like just having these in custom games section would be enough, you get 10 of your friends together and you just chill out and play fun stuff, thats what keeps most of the sc2 community in it, in fact, less people play the actual ranked and unranked sc2 gamemodes anymore, they play coop and arcade more.
That I would love to see! I never got lucky enough to have a all Butcher ARAM. The best I got was 10 KT match which was just insane, fire everywhere and constant KT elvish (is that the correct term?) banter.
Off topic. Iâve come to love the Butcher announcer. If The Butcher didnât see you as a source of Fresh Meat, he seems like a guy you could sit down and have a beer with, that laugh is very charming if you ignore that it only happens when a hero dies.
Here to bump a good idea from Jan 22 that in all likelihood will never happen.
Adding an expansion would be a great idea to kickstart this franchise, if Blizz/Msft was ever serious about turning the money printer on. Add in PvE and fix Hots 2.0 â 3.0. So many things you could do.
