Trying to land an arcane flare after a polymorph is pretty much impossible. It doesn’t matter how good the reward is if you can’t land the skill shot.
I challenge anyone to show me a game against players where they had this land more than once.
Blizzard needs to re-work that part or get rid of it because currently it doesn’t work.

The previous version of Greater Polymorph was awesome. I could reliably get resets every few seconds in a coordinated team. Although, I guess it could have been considered a win-more talent. This version doesn’t feel worth taking over the other options, as it feels too difficult to get the same value.

It is a very binary talent.
It should definitely be changed to a different functionality. This is my suggestion:
Increase the duration of Poly 0.5 seconds.
Coming from someone who plays alot of brightwing in plat 3, you are not meant to hit every center to reduce the cd, if you could that would be op, just as it would be op for an ana player to land every shot. The talent is great in my opinion, and I take it 90% of the time. In a game where i throw out 100 polys I prob have an average of 25-30% on hitting, I think that is pretty fair. The talent would be completely broken if you were landing it 75% of the time.

Part of the issue of brightwing’s Q is that the talent puts emphasis on intentionally making the hit, one after the other. However, her Q pretty much has the same travel time regardless of how far she targets.
Heroes will always have about ~1 second to react and move away regardless of being closer or further away. However, because the talent ‘rewards’ the hits, people want to get those center hits more often and put themselves into a position that neglects the delay on her Q, so they’re more likely to make bad shots.
As combatfrog said, it’s pretty much not ‘intended’ for BW to chain center hits; it massively increases her healing, potentially triggers a lot of cdr, and can possibly ‘stun lock’ a target between poly and silence hits.
So regardless of that talent, there’s an element of intended missing on those Q’s, the talent just makes people notice it that much more.

The range one you mean? Pretty sure there is NOTHING else to this talent except for the range
I still want a Q speed increase by about 20%. Just that change alone would make the character so much better.

Greater Polymorph (Level 1)
Passive: Increase Polymorph’s range by 30%.
If Brightwing hits an enemy Hero with Arcane Flare’s center within 2 seconds of being Polymorphed, then reduce Polymorph’s cooldown by 7 seconds and gain 50 Mana.
at level 1? that would be must pick

Yea sorry that was sarcasm on my end. The odds of landing it Are low and the reward is dismal.

The old version was much better and still don’t get why they changed it.

The assumption that you want to q polymorphed targets is wrong. Generally polymorph is used to slow divers/secure kills. q is for healing and should be spammed on most likely target to hit. So if i have to choose between qing a polymorphed johanna who’s running around frantically or an enemy tass who’s about to root himself to q my team, im going to be aiming for the rooted target.
giving extra time was necessary and its a better talent now, I just dont see myself changing my playstyle to use q on polymorphed target unless its the only option. The issue is that they said that they wanted cdr on polymorph to be used more often, but this talent made it occur less often. Before you could get armor reduction on w and combine it with the instant resets on kills so it wasn’t just a “win more” talent. It could turn fights really quickly if one kill wouldn’t have lead to anymore (say on a diving illy)

It was a must pick in Brawl scenarios.
I won nearly every brightwing game I played because you just poly someone at ~25% health, secure that kill then poly the next chump.

I would say BW is garbage and will continue being like this as long as arcane flare is garbage while having healing tied to it.

Actually i find landing the shot much easier once i get Unstable Anomaly at level 4. The extra slow on poly is super helpful.
I also like the talent Sticky Flare at level 7. The big slow from poly followed up with a 40% slow from arcane flare is crazy strong. This combo secures kills with even the most uncoordinated of team mates.

I was told on these forums I was greedy for asking for any speed change to her Q. kek I think 20% is a bit much, I would settle for 10% that covers the speed change they made to the game.
The devs feel that change makes her more “skillful” to play or something like that. What it made her was a lower win rate healer and picked in ranked less often.

I’ve started to notice a pattern recently as well, whoever has Brightwing as the only healer seems to be at a big disadvantage. I don’t know why people still keep picking her as if it’s 2017 or 2018 especially against burst damage (against which her pixie dust and tiny pulse heal is not that efficient).
With the exception of dedicated mains she is not doing that well. Even in public games she is sitting at a measly 48%. Which is lower than Whitemane (who I rarely see anymore either).
Rehgar, Uther, Stukov on the other hand seem to fit into almost every composition (though Uther not necessarily as solo heal - but it’s possible).

You’re right, Brightwing suffers vs burst, but it doesn’t stop people drafting her. I think especially for public games Brightwing can attract those who think Brightwing is pretty easy to play, as in they think she requires little effort because of her passive healing.
When I draft Brightwing even under ideal circumstances I feel I have to put in 100% effort to squeeze everything possible out of her kit. It’s become quite rare for me draft her at all in ranked as there are usually far better options. It’s a pity as she’s my most played healer, but she’s more niche now.

it is a pretty terrible talent now,
the old polymorph talent was about the only reason to want BW
instead of her superior replacement, Lucio.
