Yesterday I’ve seen bots in most solo games in Bronze 5. The top of the cherry was having a group of 4 bots in team with 0% winrate just running for the towers to die and feed the enemy team. Reported all of them but I’m guessing it’s quite pointless.
Based upon how obvious this is, I’m guessing that this has become a Blizzard “feature” of the game?
They aren’t bots or Blizzard’s AI, they are just very sad human beings who are so bad at the game they decide to ruin it for a bunch of other people. They are taking out their anger of constant losses against better players on completely random people.
They gain twisted joy out of queuing as 4 because that means the 1 final person that gets filled on the team is going to automatically lose the game because of the actions of these 4 trolls.
Their objective is to repeatedly find solo players and make them lose the game, so the solo players (like you) complain to Blizzard or quit playing. They want to destroy a game that is already very inactive and rarely maintained.
Yes, this world actually has people who are this sick in the head.
Out there, somewhere, are Discord or Telegram groups of these 4 player troll parties coordinating these trolling sessions. That’s the only way they can gain any joy out of the game; By ruining it for others.
I don’t mind. I just avoid solo queue because of this, and even if I did face those parties, I’d be glad they’re taking out their frustrations on a video game instead of shooting up schools or malls.
As someone who have seen how wood league looks like from someone els who showed me his replays I agree. Just very bad players or people who tries to make as many people quit as possible out of anger to the company. Instead of just walking away from the game they do this just to ruin the games for the remaning players because the butthurt is too big in them.
This is only really an issue in Bronze 5. This is because Bronze 5 is the lowest possible rank so feeder bots will gravitate down to there. Fortunately being an actual human trying to win is a large advantage over feeder bots so after enough games you should leave the bottom section of Bronze 5 and start to only encounter human players.
These bots have been a constant issue in low difficulty Versus AI games. Strange they are being used in Rank.
Bot players should be banned after enough reports. The bans might not be immediate though, so as to trick or toy with the bot creators.
less so a “blizzard” thing, and just an online thing. A number of game communities report “bots” feeding in their games, and it tends to be actual people doing it to either ruin games, or manipulate the accounts in a particular way for selling something. Sometimes they sell the accounts, or they use the accounts for some other service for boosting others or wintrading.

it’s not. this happened to me when i was bronze 3 and it happened to me 3 times in a row. yes, the matchmaking system loves to throw a troll party to me 3 times in a row.
Were those people Bronze 3 though? Or were they Bronze 5s matched for low population reasons?
In any case they are not Silver, Gold, or Platinum so at least part of my logic still stands. As feeder bots cannot really win games, they will gravitate down towards Bronze 5 so you should not see them in higher ranks/divisions.
If they do show up in higher ranks and divisions, it must mean that they only feed part of the time, and the other parts they are winning games via some means.
About a year ago or so there was a plague of bots in the game but Blizzard eventually purged them. What you are getting is people that just want to ruin the fun for everyone.
These clowns are in every game and game mode where there is the slightest opportunity to be a nuisance to one or more teams. They’ll become less common and quite scarce once you climb the ranks.
Once in a blue moon they pop in vs A.I, but they are rare as their impact is substantionally lower against A.I opponents, as such their existence is not as annoying as they would like it to be.
