Bot system is a big joke

This new afk/bot system is the worst. Having someone afk in fountain is worse than a bot suiciding but dealing a ton of damage. Why don’t they put the A.I. on hard or something?

You can ping the bot to follow you. It’s just 1 click/button press.

In theory I would also like bots to be Elite only, but that presents another

problem: People with disconnectors and afk’s in low MMR would be at an advantage if an ally left the game, because those bots can outplay low MMR human opponents.

Have the bot A.I. picked according to game MMR, or rank. It wouldn’t need to be the same in all leagues.

(Also, reprogram Zagara because she can see the whole map.)

I had a frontline Ana, when pinging her as Garrosh
And an Anduin AI who pulled me into the enemy

We need deep mind ai in this game

When implemented everyone will complain how hard ai is… oh how the tables have turnesld

Try getting a deathwing bot. Ours flew up and never came down.

Skinet disguised as a clown.

I agree but there wouldn’t even need to be an AI system if there weren’t so many AFKers and leavers.

When you have an AI all you can do in the game is do the best you can. You can only control yourself. If it’s looking like a loss, then just build up your siege numbers and camp caps. That’s what I do.

They got Fed up with you spam pinging them lol.

Yeah that’s an issue with DW. If you go afk while flying, he never lands.

Blizzard advertised bot improvements as a selling and rallying point.

Anytime i get an AI match i just quit . Having to babysit AI the entire match when i should be allowed to focus on playing is just to ridiculous an idea to have ever made it into the game

  1. Most people still don’t get this. Bots often sit in the spawn area doing nothing.

  2. Bots are useless on heroes that are not in the same category. The action radius around a hero with a pinged bot is too small. If you ping a melee bot with a ranged hero, then the melee hero does 80% of the time nothing because he doesn’t walk to the frontline to deal damage. He circles around you and walks back and forth. If you are a healer and ping a tank, he does nothing. No peeling, no tanking. Even when you take merc camps he often does nothing. Also if you do take bosses etc. if bots do anything then it is standing in the AOEs. If you ping a ranged bot as melee hero then he will frontline instead of staying back and will die in 3 seconds.

  3. It is terrible that bots recall in the middle of a fight where people have other things to do then pinging them. Then suddenly you are a hero down which is way worse than having a bot in the fight that did not recall, was not pinged by anyone but at least did some damage before.

I saw a steady dumbification of the bots past the last months/years. Early in the game bots were not bad. They actually were quite good. Then with every patch they got dumber and dumber to a point where they basically played for the enemy team by being useless for yours and feeding the enemy free kills. I have the feeling that this new bot change is nothing but a cover-up so people don’t realize how bad bots have become, how useless they are and that they are just easy kills for the enemy. Instead of fixing the AI they added a useless feature no one asked for so they can camouflage the flaws of the bots better.

If you have a bot these days, a game is over. Period. Yesterday my internet connection was buggy again. I played a match where we were leading the whole time. We just owned the enemy. Then my internet connection dropped. I could not rejoin anymore in time. Later I checked if we won this match because we just should have. We played way better than the enemy, were massively ahead in structures, too. To my surprise, this game was LOST! The fact that my team, although owning the enemy all the time, now had a bot in the team made them lose. That is just fact. Bot on your team = 90% chance to lose. If you have an early bot = 100% chance to lose.

Let us finally end matches with early bots at least!

I was in PTR playing Kel’thuzad with one other person and the rest were AI…

Other person: “So far the AI seem way better than before”
Me: watches Lucio boop people out of my combo “I guess they’re acting more like players now”
Other person: “Yeah I’m really liking the changes”
Me: watches the Garrosh throw the enemy bruiser out of my combo and behind him into me “Yeah… they’re, uh, really great” :sob:

That’s always a problem. If you’re a ranged hero you don’t want to ping the tank or bruiser for example as they will just hide behind you and vise versa.

Have seen that too, and Garrosh tossing an Ally to their doom.

This seems to be the biggest problem, people either won’t or don’t know how to ping the AI. It amazes me that people with 1000 level accounts never learned to ping the AI!

lmao that’s amazing :joy:

That would be bad because of the number of boosted baddies that would be way worse than the MMR bot ge would get.

AI needs to react to the role they are and the person they are following

Healer/mage should be behind the tank and a tank should be next or in front of the ranged assassin that pings him (havent seen an AI tank yet tank players are awesome)

Nah leaver bots should have a set level and behaviour and follow people when they want to TF and go lane if they are not.

People want to be bailed out by some Ai too much.

Make leaver queue harsher and give loss forgiveness for ranked.
Give faster bans for compulsive feeders and leavers.

The real issue is waste of space leavers , not the bots.

Here is a lot of good feedback for the AI. Hope you can use it for improvement reasons

Well, there’s no reason those players would disconnect more often than their teammates. So I think it would work out.

AI also needs to react to living bomb.
