I’m out of Heroes. The dependency on team fighting and players not participating kills this game for me.
You basically are stuck with players that don’t sync. Each game is hoping for a leader that doesn’t appear. If someone tries to take the team leadership and strategy they get grieved by other players. Get a couple of levels behind regardless and you are SOL.
There are things I love about Heroes but the negatives outweighs the good.
You definitely get the sense that this MOBA is struggling.

Actually, this is WoW. Have you ever random-queued for BGs? Your individual contribution matters very little. You either end up with a team that somehow knows what it’s doing, or you end up with a bunch of toxic bads. Even matches are extremely rare.
Sound familiar? It’s because this game is BGs lifted out of WoW, being played by the same players. 
I find people are 95,55% more likely to follow good calls if you ping rather than write in chat. The more I write in chat the more pissy people get. The worst stuff to say is things like “play safer please”, this almost always leads to flame wars.
I never write in chat unless playing with friends (or to stay stuff like gg at the end).
Maybe they respond better to pings, because it sounds like the character’s voice is advising an action rather than a human player. Like if you ping Defend (g+left arrow) on a structure as Li Li, it plays a sound clip by Li Li that says “Better defend this fort!”.
HA, ye i dont even want to talk about how bad ally was on my bg server. People who leave flags unguarded just to cap another flag and leave it again not even defending it. Or people who still get themself blowed off clifs into their dead in eye of the storm. Or people who was 5vs1 mid and dying.
Disable team chat and only use ping ; as said above, you will have on average a better team reaction (if you dont overping ofc). And you will auto-ignore children crying in the chat, which is a plus.

You CAN solo carry people in Random Battlegrounds.
Name me class, spec, race, etc you play.
Ranking and 2v2 or 3v3 as well.
Maybe not solo carry, but with one healer with a big enough brain you can atleast tie a Battleground.

It’s not an argument. It was meant mostly humorously, actually.
But think about it: two teams who are (ideally) collaborating against each other, with PvE objectives (capping nodes, typically). Commander-type know-it-alls raging at their “stupid” allies. People AFK in the base. Brainless fighting mid.

At least in WoW you don’t get reported for abusive chat by angry kids when you type BS inc

It’s simply safer not to type with randos and yes people usually respond to pings, if they plan to respond at all. I swear sometimes people have uninstalled the mini map.
Maybe in random BGs, but absolutely not in RBGs.

The problem with this game is that Ranked is just busted, so the only legitimate way to get games in is through QM. Nobody in QM cares, and it’s almost to the point where you wonder “why even play?” for some players.
I agree with the guy who said people respond best to pings, it’s amazing how overly sensitive players are conditioned to be these days. I’ve literally gotten players lash out and then afk 'cause you ask them to come to an objective.
I rarely ever give up in any match, I 98% of the time fight till the end… but there are those moments when I’m done, like when I’m healer and 8 minutes into the match my team still wont leave mid on a 3 lane map.
You forgot the balanced match making that matches premades vs randoms, but oh no the premades gets less points for a win so that makes it fair even though they will win 80% of the time against randoms.
You’ve stopped playing for a long time then, if you believe RBGs are active.
RBGs are supposed to be made with full premades, of COURSE you couldn’t carry them.
