Why am I still showing up in HotS if I’m on offline mode on Battlenet?
There is no way at all to show up as invisible or offline inside HotS itself. The offline setting is only for the battle.net client.
It has been requested for 5½ years by a few players but there are no indications it will ever be implemented.
So if you want to hide from your friends and play some QM anonymously - you can’t.

Cant you just do afk or do not disturb?
What are doing back there, a little hand hockey? A little pocket pool?
Why you need invisibility from friends, sounds suspicious.
