Block list is full

Please make block list rotating automatically, when old entries are remove on adding new ones if block list is full.
Since Blizzard do not want to protect us from abusive behaviour of some special players we have to handle this ourselves, but block list is too small.

Turn off chat uf your filling your list that quickly.

I question full block lists. It seems more a problem of a common denominator.

I have like 3 people blocked in the last 8 years of playing, where are you all getting these people to block ~200. :sob:

This is because you are not playing on European servers. In my previous post I made more detailed explanation of the problem, but moderators deleted it as inappropriate.
Actually European region is just flooded by representatives of one special country, which are making other players life harder.
I hope this post will not be deleted, since I tried to avoid any details.

Weird; I am playing on EU, and most russians I noticed are just… typing in russian in team chat, for some reason. I don’t claim to know russian though, so they might be swearing (or whatever you deem ‘making other players life harder’), although I don’t block everyone swearing either.

Maybe you’re overusing a glorified chat and ping mute? It’s just 2 clicks during the match, if someone’s toxic in chat.

ARAM

bro i either getting people speaking russian or dead silent, nothing between, idk where you all just casually block 200+ people to fill in your blocklist

I don’t, but I get overwhelmingly more salty whispers/slur spam from ARAM than I get from literally any other game, it’s quite amazing the community there.

remember, if you get a salty whisper, you live in their mind rent free, keep winning king

I’m not? Weird, I sometimes set the region to EU, but you’re saying that it’s not actually EU?

I was going to say that I have zero blocks on EU just like NA.

And this block list is just the most crappy implementation I’ve ever seen…
If you will look into it - there are no any usernames or BattleTags, but meaningless numbers. Also there is no way to clean it completely or select more than one entry to unblock - you have to delete all 200 entries one by one… Maybe it can be reset by reverting all settings to default, but I never tried.
Just incredible user friendly…

The game is never going to chose for you which people should be removed from your blocked list.

When I played on EU, people were way less toxic than NA servers (and there were also less clueless players)

Microsoft, take notice: there’s a market for a new harmless microtransaction that you can be the first one to implement: buying block list space. Maybe even make a leaderboard for people with biggest block lists to make it into a small competition.

As long as they don’t also implement the “Can’t be matched with blocked people” thing. Or, everyone will be playing with bots.

Block list can fill up quickly in asian servers due to the sheer amount of bots and trolls.

What I’ve found effective was reporting toxic people to abusive chat, it auto blocks their chats atleast lol

Unless you’re talking about chat bots in general lobbies, bots generally shouldn’t chat. In those situations, what does blocking accomplish? And if the trolls aren’t chatting or whispering you after the game, blocking doesn’t do anything either. Some people seem to think block functions in a way it wasn’t designed or intended for. It’s a tool to block communication from people who habitually annoy you, and even then, you don’t HAVE to use it. It doesn’t change the person’s behavior, nor is it some magical safe space to empower you to show people who’s boss, nor does it prevent you from being matched with them.

Just mute somebody if they annoy you and move on. You’re allowed to not like what other people say, and you can block them, but you also don’t have to let every mildly dumb comment or even more stupidly, in game-action (oh noes, that guy fed, BLOCK!) control your emotions to the point where you fool yourself into thinking that you can self sooth from pressing a magic button when ultimately, you just don’t really have good coping strategies for discomfort, which is GOING to happen in an online video game.

Probably true…that could be funny as a limited-time event too. Sort of a purge…people are allowed to block and avoid everyone they want for a day (or a week, and doesn’t have to include ranked), then after that time everything comes back to normal. Maybe the people blaming everyone will realize they’re the problem…or they’ll start enjoying AI games and just switch to that mode forever after… preferably in the AI vs AI version.

not talking about chat bots, talking about in game people. There’s often people saying racist things.

In asia server we are mixed with chinese/korean/and some taiwanese people. The koreans love to use slur language to chinese players calling them “C” word for example and telling them to go back to their country.

I just report for abusive language becuase my block list is also full. This type of comment you will see 1 out of 2 games here. And typically the players that type these comments will sit in base or go die by the tower over and over because they are tilted for some reason.

It’s not about coping with discomfort lol, it’s just another way to report these things because I see that I rarely group with them after i report them for these types of behaviors. So it’s an effective way to not group with throwers/griefers in the game.

You seem to be deeply confused. Blocking does not report anything. Reporting for chat abuse will. Blocking is also not an “effective way” to not group with griefers of throwers. That’s all chance. Not to mention griefing and throwing has nothing to do with chat which is what blocking does. Blocking has ZERO effect on the matchmaker, and for good reason.

It’s just amazing how people like you will just make up stuff without any evidence.
