And his ability to body soak just got a ton worse. No guesswork as to which bush aba is hiding in, just follow the XP globes.
Part of the problem is that the dev team has historically made a disproportionate number of changes aimed at low skill, hyper casual players. The issue is that low skill, hyper casual players have no interest in getting better at the game, learning the game, etc. I understand the logic: low skill, hyper casual players represent a lot of Moba players, especially those playing other Mobas. The devs try balancing in favor of those players in the hopes theyāll come to HOTS, stay playing HOTS and make the game better for everyone.
The truth is that an influx of bad players who donāt want to get better just ruins the experience for everyone. Look at how bad weekend games are. Look at how bad games are during crossover events. It isnāt a tactic that works and it keeps backfiring.
But this change is not to help bad players actually. Now you canāt have player in Diamond who have no idea about rotations and soaking.
or they can put pressure on the enemy trying to collect globes: they control a zone afterall.
Thatās what people get complaining āsolo laning is too boringā while what they mean is ālet me poke from afar with a ranged hero on lane so that i can go 3 ranged in draft and not be seen as a throwerā like that was not the boring part of the equation to begin with.
Zone control usually means you deny enemy access to a zone by setting up a defensive area. The xp globes have timers so heroes that require set up time to move fwd (hammer, gaz, probe) will all have trouble collecting xp while heroes with sustain and survivability who can frontline have the advantage since they donāt need to set up X turrets to be safe
Team fights donāt exist in peoples minds anymore
Also they said if these changes stick around TLV are gonna be jump kicked to early in the queue for reworks involving making them more potent together.
Iām skeptical about these exp globes, but Iām willing to let a lot go if a TLV rework is in the cardsā¦
Any Xul mains have any comments about this change? im interested.
Not all heroes should be good at solo laning. So I donāt see problem with new changes.
The only thing I will like too see changed is Azmodanās trait (D). General of Hell should be able to collect exp globes. That can be good synergy with other azmo abilities such as his Q.
well this will make coward heroes like tassadar take risks while laning/ duo soaking. It was always very boring going against a Tassadar who could just throw psionic storm and move to the next lane being so super safe due to his E. Also i guess this makes exp zoning much more impactful and easy to do, making solo laners be able to be more impactful for the team. I personally like the change. Havenāt played much ptr tho.
He soaks so much xp in few mins. Itās a good patch for him definitely.
Not a xul main but in his ballpark as a rag main
Looking forward to it, these changes force people to play in my range rather then just widdle me down, so Iāll either see more bruisers to duel or Iāll get to finally put some ranged assassins in their place!
Great for xul , you can either brute force grabbing globes with E and bone armor or just wait near your towers and clear fast for minimum damage to you.
I recon leoric rexxar will be advantaged as well.
Heck i could see dva have a card to play here.
I think this is just a skill issue. Learn to play around xp globes instead of entering hysterics for no reason
Im worried for abathur. Since i can soak nearly all 3 lanes, if the map allows me to use my body. Being able to soak with my body, is the thing that makes Aba viable (imo). Good aba players are being punished hard.
If only we had a proper tutorial or say, low skilled players determined to get better, this anomaly wouldnāt happen.
Sole reason of this anomaly was to engage these players to actually soak xp for once by giving them visual aid.
yea but they could have made this exp globe thing purely visual anyway. Like literally leave EXP the same and just have the exp globes drop out and go to whoever earned that exp simply to represent how exp gathering works.
And to make the Laning phase less passive since itās impossible to deny xp without killing the enemy and surviving in lane 1v1 is painfully easy especially with ranged heroes who can just poke from under their towers.
Until these are removed from the game mages will never be obselete and anyone who thinks so has never played this game.
