It’s great to be able to choose talents that are already of favourite and every level we reach is favourite (marked) for us.

another thing, I selected favourite in my talents and when my game is disconnected anyway, the a.l game selects my talents at random, in the event that a.l has to select my favourite talents not random

No. Let’s say you have favorite talents. But at some point of the match, you must select a different one depending on the situation and your fave talent is auto-selected. Ruining your strategies and plans.
Basically, Blizzard has said no to auto talenting because your talent build should be based on the match you are playing, not one build you always choose.
Now we all know that isn’t how people actually play, but it is the way we are “supposed to play” according to Blizzard.
It is true that strategies (talents) in the game may be chosen differently but most of the time, talents are selected uniformly and repetitively

Builds are living things, no hero should fixate on 1 build for a thousand games. I see people doing this all the time. They even don’t take Spell Shield vs Pyro then die to it 10 times claiming Kael is OP. No, all you had to do is deviate from your copied build.

Favorite talents should definitely be picked automatically in the event of a d/c. The AI shouldn’t just pick a random talent and have you be stuck with it when you reconnect - that just ruins the rest of the match, having your build ruined by a bad AI decision.
Just like you can already mark talents as favorite during the match, if you know this chance shows up, you can also unselect such talent for autoselecting.
So even if your list of favorites show you picked talent A, but you potentialy need B, you can still select the talent at that tier, you are not forced to either A or B, and you wont affect your favorites.
The way i would do this is placing a checkbox next to the 1-3 favorite lists: enable autoselect.
Upon clicking that box, it displays your 7 tiers as list, and you can just disable the relevant tiers. This then only needs to be done once in the match (at the start), and you can just ignore it later on, until the tier is unlocked.
At any point in the game you can turn this autoselect off and on again. And it even remembers your previous autoselect selection.
If prefered more, we could even make it display the 7 tiers, and instead of always enabling them, force you to enable the specific tiers for autoselecting.
If you dont want to use it, you can. But in most games i can easily tell 5 talents i will pick no matter what. And in some cases even all 7 talents.
Edit: on second note, i think its better if it just is a button autoselect, and the 7 tiers become checkboxes that are turned off by default. As then clicking the button later on to check its state isnt going to alter this (you wont accidentaly click it on or off).
Maybe Ctrl+0 is enough. It selects the favorited talent of the current tier.
Just most people don’t know about it, I guess. I learned today while looking for something else.
Ctrl+0 is barely doable during regular games as you are forced to move your fingers too far away. Ctrl+~ would have already been better, but to me is still quite excessive as you still have to move your fingers too much. During heavier fights this isnt realy an option. You might aswel just click the talents. But at least with ~ it is generaly within reach.
a heads up OP (and I guess anyone else who reads this?), the favorite system is a start to working on such a system, if i am recalling a chat with QA correctly.
Oh wait, ambiguous. I’m with a European national keyboard. 0 is the very first key, it’s 0123… So it’s actually the same to press as Ctrl+1. (It’s to make room on the right for funny characters with accent.)
Not sure what the setting is with US keyboard, but I guess the same key position.
