So I tested Q build Arthas in various matches to see if it really makes a impact
As always the results I show you are from real matches where there is resistence not stomps. I dont like showing stomps because they dont show the struggles of each build
The pro's and cons of Q build over W build
It offers more substain and survivability, also you do more consistent damage, but W build is stronger overall if you play in a more teamfight orientated situation because of the mass root , also the increased root range really helps you lock down targets.
Q build offers more damage and survival, but W build makes sure your enemys will hate you because of endless roots and slows
The pro's and cons of Q build over E build
It sounds strange but this means you dont always need to land auto attacks to maintain maximize your sustain, so Q build is definitely safer.
It helps you to deal against more range pokers like falstad and zagara in a solo lane, so if you cant get close I recommend Q build.
But if you are in a melee 1v1 and want just a good damage and be a mid/late game monster, go AA build
Conclusion:
Well I love to poke with Arthas, and I feel like I can spam it now instead of waiting for the perfect moment to use.
Q build is not really changed, the only things is that I dont need to look at mana cost anymore, but if you had a good discipline on your D, that wasnt the case anyway. I honestly think this is a nerf instead of a buff because they took away the range.
But I really miss the range, in the results you see that I am low on kills, because a lot of them escaped with low health.
But at the same time, if you look at my self healing, it is around 50% the healer healed in both matches. And I felt like I could substain a lot more punishment. But at the same time if I took the armor on 7, my damage taken woudnt have been so high because it also lowers the duration of roots and stuns.
So I can see the use of it, but I say AA build and W build still stay meta.
