Are people actually hyped about these patches?

Are people actually hyped about this pointless fine tuning of heroes after years of nothing? Like what are they trying to accomplish, is it just to contain some hype? Think about it, does this last dev guy think he has a better grasp of balance than the previous whole team? These changes do NOTHING and they wont make me swallow the hopium pill. Thank you come again

Not really. The game has been in a pretty good state and there have been no game breaking bugs for some time now. I don’t even notice any significant impact of the hero rebalancing because of how inconsistent matchmaking has become.

What would make me happy if someone would finally fix the game update bug. It is in front of everybody’s nose and annoying in many ways. The most obvious thing ever, still unaddressed.

Without innovation and fresh gameplay concepts these changes will be nothing more than number adjustments.

Most of it is just bug fixes that have been ignored for years. What hero balance goes for I dont really know what they are trying to fix really.

The buff to Qhira’s healing is pretty noticeable. My NGS team has started drafting her more often.

I am. It is nice that this game is receiving something instead of just dust on the shelf.

The changes aside from the massive sustain buff to Samuro have been largely positive. I mean, if you’re still playing this game at this point, I would have hoped your hope died years ago. Whatever they are doing now is just a bonus.

You first.

The impulse here is lacking in thought put to it. Actions aren’t just hype or no but a quantifiable amount of people have been “trained” to only expect “hype” and be “told” what to think about something. Life is more than a polarized dead/live choice.

Blizzard has a history of sustaining support for their games and has made balance changes and bug fixes years after the “hype” for the game died largely because they tend to have consistent players and passionate devs.

Since most of the “content” for HotS comes from player intetactions, bug fixes and balance shifts may alter player perception just a touch. Cool, Illidan can heal off of Inmolate now, maybe I’ll dink around with that for a game or two, but I’m not blasting fireworks and becoming a “main”, but it is a game that I’ll give illidan a go instead of otherwise.

Variety is the spice of life.

I don’t understand why the negativity?

I’m already playing, so anything is better than nothing. It’s not necessarily hope for the individual patches themselves, but maybe something may happen in the future.

Maybe not all out hyped but pleasantly suprised.
The changes havent been overly game changing but for the most part, they have been good changes.
(Im referring to all the patches weve gotten sense hogger)

The sam changes are the only ones that stand out as controversial.

Imagine being that sole dev, thinking the players will appreciate the little you can contribute by yourself, only to clock in to work and read this garbage lol.

yes because it means someone still cares. I get that ppl can be meh at the changes cause theyre so miniscule but the game is at a point where its already quite balanced? and doesnt need big changes for no reason.

Hopefully these little balance changes means someone cares enough to be working on a new hero or battleground

I can only speak for myself, but I appreciate these changes, I don’t think anyone expressed excitement or “hype”, and I don’t believe creating hype was the intention of the Dev who made these changes.

Many other games as old as Hots, that were commercial failures, have lost all support, and/or even had the server’s shutdown. You don’t have to be grateful or excited about the changes, but a complaint post makes no sense, and comes off as petty and entitled.

The patch loop bug is annoying, and I know it’s off-putting to some new players, as I have two friends I introduced to the game, and from their perspective it makes Hots seem abandoned. There is also another bug with “Recruit a Friend” feature, it no longer awards players an extra chest and Raynor/Sylvanas. I’m sort of okay with this, as it means smurfs get slightly less free stuff, but it’s still not a great look for the game.

Normies with midwit IQ are hyped, which sadly constitutes the majority of people. Thankfully not all of us care about the inconsequential stuff.

That guy is getting paid tho, my guy isnt the one calling the shot for hots to be fine-tuned. But since you do appreciate what little is being done I guess some people are hyped about it, great!

Balance changes doesnt necessarily have to be a positive thing, as I said how can 1 guy claim to have better grasp of balance than the whole previous team? It’s unlikely so these changes are strictly catered for the hype.

HYPE!!! :exploding_head:

Not to be rude, but do you actually read posts here? I can’t find a single post where someone is “hyped” for this patch. I would summarize the general response to be, “this patch is better than no patch, thanks Dev.”

Hype? No.

The more I read Pureblood the more I think he is just a narcissist. High IQ people dont really need to call others out for thier own IQ when they know better. Useing low IQ as an insult is like telling disabled people they deserved to be like they are. If anything Pureblood is is just an average guy who think he is smarter than 95% of the globe.

If he is this grand high IQ guy as he claim he is he would not use his intelligence to insult people that he see as less superior then him. More rather he should use it to help people instead. Thats what good people with high intelligence does.

Some people offer insightful posts. Others write out in left field comments that leave you confused. Others manage to be amusing every time their meat digits touch the keyboard.

Then there are those whose posts are like the ingredients label on the side of a non-brand three meat frozen pizza that has been in the freezer way past the expiration date. You already know its garbage so there is little incentive to read them.

Not necessarily true, that would require high EQ. There are many high IQ people that are very mean.

Dayum! You read the ingredients label? That’s pretty high IQ brother
