Almost every single game there is one player like this.
AFK on hero selection screen - why would you Queue to a game mode that LITERALLY has a 5 ~ 15 second queue if you are not ready to play?;
Doesn’t do any effort to balance the team out with an OK pick - why would you troll YOURSELF making YOUR TEAM weaker?
Does a bad move / overextend and dies, complain about the team, does again, start trolling / dying / afk.
Honestly, if you do not care about ARAM, if it’s a stupid / weak / whatever mode to you, go play something else and stop ruining for people that actually enjoy this mode more than any other in the game.
those people and “chill it’s aram” are entirely different those people get snotty if they don’t get “good” dps aka three out of the many heroes available they also use it to get around healing or tanking.
even the chill it’s aram players get annoyed at that
again different people from chill it’s aram people
those are just trolls
I am one of the chill it’s aram people to a certain extent I don’t want to play the “aram meta” every match it’s random it’s not the usual thing so I take it like it is. do you see “aram ranked”? no? there you go thats why people need chill
and one last note
I’ll stop being selfish when everyone else stops being selfish I’m not about to change from Whitemane to Arthas just because someone says “Arthas” in chat while they casually choose genji over blaze.
I seen this behavier a few times now. Had someone who left the game just becasue I choosed not to take Zag over DW. And on top of it we had Greymane stay afk in base or behind walls half the game.
Sometimes I think some people just enjoy being a troll or lazy to make games worse for others.
They used to have these same people saying “who cares, it’s just QM” as they died for their 35th time on Leoric at the enemy gates (back before there was no Aram and only the weekly Brawls).
Probably a partial reason that drove away thousands of people.
It really does seem like punishments and penalties (loss of points, loss of privilege to enter normal human games) is the only thing that incentivizes masses of childish gamers to act properly.
Every few weeks someone complains that these penalties are impossible to clear, and in 9 cases out of 10, it’s one of those players who made the game worse for others so they deserve no sympathizing. It’s karma.
The same people would also go afk in base if his surrender got downvoted. Thats why I love this game never got one added. People join a team game and then suddenly think his time is more important then others.
Lucky this game have no ignore player or els these people would be complaining they cant find a game anymore becasue everyone got him ignored.
Would be like you have a groupe of friends and one of them keep saying no to everything he dont want to be part of that you suggest you could be doing in your freetime together. Then one day they stop phone calling him and gets ignored becasue he is a boring friend that only want to do what he likes and never what his other friends want.
Why you think some of them ask to have ranked ARAM ? Because they all want to have the same benefits ranked provides in a game mode that already have one of the fastest ques.
And how would the devs figure out how to balance ranks in a clown mode ?
Its like they want to be GM jester in thier own circus.
A queue that would be as empty and slow as the actual ranked queue? Would be hilarious though if those types actually went there waiting hours for one game because nobody else wants to play that
What I find weird is that over two decades ago we had ranked ladder play in competitive games with less people without there being long queues.
I wonder what has changed… maybe ranked queues that are built purely for engagement farming rather than promoting healthy competition? hehe
The other option would be to do like we did in the old days and organize your own tournament community. NGS and HeroesHearth still seem to be active and are running tournaments. But that takes some amount of social skill to participate in a self organized community.
‘two decades ago’ electronic online games where niche, so players marveled with whatever they had instead of the lowest-common denominator of complaints and quitters that plague the hobby today.
For 2 of those issues Blizzard can be blamed. Why is there a tryhard draft screen if its supposed to be ARAM? Why are overpowered ranged heroes in that mode not spell nerfed, allowing players to pick what they want and not to draft into the 10. millions Azmodan / Ming / Zulin / … game with proper winning possibility.
Here’s an unrepresented perspective: I try to only play characters that I care about. Usually based on how much I like them from their original game. And I disagree with about half of the characters being added to the game. So, I’m never going to pick certain heroes, no matter the disadvantage, because I wish that hero was never added to the game.
I play brawl because it’s supposed to be ridiculous. If you take it seriously, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment. If you think each match is supposed to be fair or winnable, that’s not true either.
